The VIP Loyalty Reward Program offers benefits every month to VIPs who log in and claim them! Read more about the VIP Loyalty Reward Program on DDO.com.

For the first time, VIPs who have claimed every reward since the program debuted in May can claim the Cosmetic Lightning Trail! Here's a picture of it:

To acquire the item, speak to Violet Peregrine in the Eberron Hall of Heroes. First, select "I would like to claim a new reward", then speak to Peregrine again and select "I need help with something else", "I'd like a copy of a VIP cosmetic", and then select "Lightning Trail".

A few notes:

  • The Cosmetic Lightning Trail puts a cosmetic lightning effect on your character that leaves static behind when you move and doesn’t prevent footprints from displaying.
  • Claim the latest VIP Loyalty Reward Program gift you are eligible for on your account after the 1st of every month by speaking to an NPC named Violet Peregrine located in the Eberron Hall of Heroes. Speaking to Peregrine will award the gift to your game account. The gift you receive will be based on whatever place you are in the VIP Loyalty Reward Program reward track. Your reward will increment based on the last reward received. You can acquire further versions of various cosmetics as well by speaking to this NPC. 
  • Only players who claimed the 5th Month Completed VIP Bag of Many Things in October will be eligible to receive the Cosmetic Lightning Trail from November 1st - 30th, 2024.
  • You can summon your Cosmetic Lightning Trail effect even if you are no longer VIP as long as you have claimed the reward for your account while VIP.
  • You will need to re-acquire this Cosmetic effect by speaking to the NPC Violet Peregrine in the Eberron Hall of Heroes after a True Reincarnation.
  • You can see how far along the VIP Loyalty Reward Program reward track you've progressed in-game. Press the Main Menu button then select VIP Loyalty Reward Program.
