Sterling’s Remnant Rush Guide 

Sterling the Strongbox has been invited by your favorite Feat-swapping mindflayer Fred to help gather the Mysterious Remnants scattered across the universes! Sterling arrives with Update 78: Natural 20 and continues through March 2nd, 2027 to trade your Mysterious Remnants for special rewards. 

Find Sterling in the Anniversary Island public space, which you can get to by speaking to Fred in either House Jorasco or in House Phiarlan while the Anniversary Event is active. You can also find Sterling in the Eberron Hall of Heroes. The Anniversary Island public space is available to access through March 31st, 2026.

Every time you trade Remnants with Sterling, the cost for the next reward goes up and you can exchange Mysterious Remnants with Sterling up to ten times per month per account! Your progress is reset on the first Wednesday of every month when the worlds reopen from our weekly maintenance. The first reset will take place in April 2026.  Any character on your account can get a reward from Sterling, as Sterling tracks how many rewards you’ve gained on an account-wide basis.  

Each time you trade with Sterling you will get one of the following: 

Minor Rewards (50%):

  • Suites of Curse Cards
  • Full Decks of Curse Cards 

Major Rewards (50%):

  • Fragmented Tomes
  • Dusts of Mythic Power (The dust item applies a benefit through 4/6/27 to their relevant item type. The benefit does not expire once applied.)
  • Dusts of Reaper Power (The dust item applies a benefit through 4/6/27 to their relevant item type. The benefit does not expire once applied.)
  • Myth Drannor Treasure Picker Box
  • Card of Curse Cleansing 

Notes:

  • Suites of Curse Cards are provided in stacks of eight or sixteen.
  • Dusts of Mythic and Reaper Power provide a Mythic bonus to specific items as indicated in their name. The dust item applies a benefit through 4/6/27 to their relevant item type. The benefit does not expire once applied. The Dusts come in Glove, Boot, and Cloak varieties.
  • The Myth Drannor Treasure Picker Box offers a selection of both Heroic and Legendary versions of rare loot from the Magic of Myth Drannor expansion.
  • Mysterious Remnants are earned by defeating enemy Champions that can appear randomly when you quest on Hard difficulty and above, with a higher chance for Champions to appear in the higher the difficulty.
  • Mysterious Remnants will auto-gather into your Collectables Bags if you have your bags set to "Gather". However, Sterling is unable to see Remnants in Collectables Bags. Make sure to take your Mysterious Remnants out of your Collectables Bags and into your inventory in order to trade with Sterling. 
  • Sterling is also unable to see Mysterious Remnants in your Crafting Storage or Shared Bank. Please move these items into the inventory of your character prior to interacting with Sterling.
