The Time Flies and Anniversary Party Events Guide

Dungeons & Dragons Online celebrates its anniversary with special questing and rewards in addition to other free and fun experiences and gifts! If this is your first time celebrating with us, read on to learn more about how to access these events and earn rewards. 

Time Flies: 

Debuting with our 20th anniversary this year is a new quest called “Time Flies” offering unique twists on some of your favorite encounters! “Time Flies” can be accessed by  speaking with Sariyon Dran-dal, the 20th Anniversary Quest NPC located on Anniversary Island. Anniversary Island can be accessed by speaking to Fred in House Jorasco or House Phiarlan while the anniversary event is active.  

Time flies is available on the following Heroic, Epic, or Legendary difficulties: 1, 4, 8, 12, 16, 20, 24, 28, 32, and 36.  

When you enter the dungeon you will see a location you may be familiar with (The Chronoscope), but the timeline is not as it should be, and it is up to you to sort things out! Each time you run the dungeon you will randomly experience three of seven possible encounters. Completing the dungeon will award you with Timeline Fragments and loot!  

Here is a breakdown of your character or highest group member level and the amount of Timeline Fragments you will receive when successful: 

On Normal: 

  • Quest is above or equal to your level: 6 
  • You are 1 level above the quest: 4 
  • You are 2 levels above the quest: 2 
  • You are 3 levels above the quest: 1 
  • You are 4+ levels above the quest: 0 

 Hard: 

  • Quest is above or equal to your level: 8 
  • You are 1 level above the quest: 6 
  • You are 2 levels above the quest: 4 
  • You are 3 levels above the quest: 2 
  • You are 4+ levels above the quest: 0 

 Elite: 

  • Quest is above or equal to your level: 10 
  • You are 1 level above the quest: 8 
  • You are 2 levels above the quest: 5 
  • You are 3 levels above the quest: 2 
  • You are 4+ levels above the quest: 0 

 Reaper: 

  • Quest is above or equal to your level: 12 
  • You are 1 level above the quest: 8 
  • You are 2 levels above the quest: 6 
  • You are 3 levels above the quest: 3 
  • You are 4+ levels above the quest: 0 

NOTE: Once you select a level band of the quest, you need to Abandon the quest from the Quest Journal if you wish to select a different level band before you complete your original selected level band.

Rewards: 

Exchange your Timeline Fragments at the Timeline Fragment Exchange station located next to Sariyon on Anniversary Island. The rewards are similar to their historic counterparts but differ in unique ways! Rewards are available as separate items for various levels, so you can acquire a level 4 version, a level 8 version, a level 12 version and so on up to level 36! Yes, the level cap does not increase until later this year, but you can start getting level 36 items now! 

All items are Bound to Account. Timeline Fragments are also Bound to Account.

The 10th Anniversary Party! 

Our 20th Anniversary brings a new yearly “Anniversary Dungeon” to the game, but our prior 10th Anniversary dungeon remains available long-term! The Anniversary Party is also available on Adventure Island, which can be reached by speaking to Fred in House Jorasco or House Phiarlan while the Anniversary Event is active. Find the “To the Coinlords’ Anniversary Party” station to the left when you enter the Island and speak to “Gnoa Bn’for” the Party Planner for more information. 

The Anniversary Party is set up as a Challenge Event, meaning you can select the difficulty from level 1 to level 39. The more Stars you earn, the more Party Favors you earn! The Anniversary Party is a light-hearted and fun dungeon where you help deal with a Kobold problem and their “Dark Overlord” while battling enemies with strangely official-sounding names...  

Running the quest at a Challenge Rating below the level of your highest member returns fewer Party Favors, and running above the level of your highest member (up to five levels above) returns more Party Favors.  

Rewards:

Speak to Tolero the Party Favor Collector next to the entrance to the Anniversary Party on Anniversary Island to trade your Party Favors for rewards! Party Favors are Bound to Account. The rewards include:

The Anniversary Events debut with the release of Update 78: Natural 20 and continue through March 31st, 2026! Make sure to claim your rewards prior to the end of the event, as these NPCs will not return until the following anniversary. Have fun!
