They don't "go" anywhere; it unlocks the content. Now when you talk to the quest givers for the purchased adventure pack, they'll give you the quests and let you do them. https://ddowiki.com/page/Adventure_Packs you can use that to figure out what quest givers you need to talk to for whichever pack you bought.

These adventures don't "go" anywhere. Instead, you are enabled to talk to a quest giver ( who are, in essence, kinds of introducers to that pack ) who might be lonely figure standing at the edge of a house, for example.

This is like exploring : You suddenly find that you can talk to that figure standing in the street ! And from what he says, he can lead you to the new adventure area.
"You are a Tiefling. And a Cleric, with the Domain of the Sun. Doesn't that contradict each other ?" "No, all my friends are playing evil. I found that so boring that I decided to be on the good side. And, besides, Sun and Fire, where is the difference, really ?"
