it interests me how they nuked the waterfall AND removed the glamersmith without even shutting the game down, yet now it's a 4 hour patch (or at least an estimated 4 hours) to do the same thing that they did a few days ago without anyone even noticing.

and i honestly mean that, i'd be super interested to find out the "how" and "why" since i've never done work with servers before.

Because it's not the actual downtime it's just covering themselves for if it takes longer than expected.
