    Default Reaper Quantity Boosted?

    Was reaper quantity boosted? Because lately it seems there's a lot more reapers per quest. I was recently in low heroics running r1 and I had an average of 3-4 reapers per quest, and I never encountered that many at that level before. Is this an actual thing or do I just have bad luck?

    I think you are absolutely correct, I have been getting spawns of 2-3 at the same time in low level Reapers which is very noticeable.

    I more inclined that this is more observation bias.

    I'm not noticing more. Sure from time to time I still see 3 spawn at once, but the same time I've seen quests where I don't even see one show up.

    Not like it was in the very beginning where a friend and I had 6 reapers in the Acid Dragon Room of Tor and were dead before we finished loading in.

    Well if it is observation bias I saw the exact same thing. Running TRs doing R1 all the way there was a very defined increase in amount of reapers that spawn per mission following a patch.

    Much like several months back mobs got an evil damage proc added to their melee hits. Running same build in the same gear turning out racial TRs (one a week) following a patch I went from never needing to worry about HP to needing to use all LOH uses and get some external heals from my buddy.

    Stuff is getting changed and it is not making it to the patch notes. Every game I have played since 1999 to now has done the same thing. Some it is minor, some it is major.

    Is it possible that you are causing the higher Reaper spawn rate? You TR, your character is a little better, you kill mobs faster, so you go through spawns faster, etc.

    I also see more reapers.

    try 5 plague reapers at once - probably my fault for splitting the huge purple ooze in the level 5 depths quest

    so 5 reapers and instant amber alert didnt end well.

    Your "3-4 per quest" Seems low to me. Granted, a few times I have seen that, but quite frequently "lately" I've been in R1 seeing 1-3 per decent size encounter. Last week we did a low level R1 we ran into 3 reapers 3 rooms in a row, plus others through the quest. I'd guess we probably hit 20-25 reapers in that single medium length quest. Personally, I'd lean towards thinking there are more now than previously, but at the moment I just choose to blame RNG for hating on me.
