Black Friday Sales

I see Coravan posted sales for the next week.. Are theses supposed to be the Black Friday sales? I hope not. My wife wants to get me some Christmas presents and I told her to wait until DDO Has Their Black Friday Sales. If that is all SSG is going to do, we will be spending money elsewhere. Anybody heard anything?

Black Friday sales usually* start around Black Friday, not a week before Black Friday.

(* and by "usually" I mean "always")


The midwinter sales (which some call "Christmas" Sales, ymmv) often start well before then, for obvious reasons.

Well I was being sarcastic, since he made such an aggressive statement at the end there. I've worked in retail enough to know what "we're taking our money elsewhere" is worth. It is not worth a lot. Almost always just reveals they don't actually want to take their money anywhere else at all.

Due to the current state of this game, the questionable handling of the fey wild expansion/paid update and my loss of trust in SSG. I will be spending my $$$ elsewhere for the foreseeable future.

I dunno guys. I've been getting black friday/cyber monday ads from just about everybody else with something to sell in both snail & email boxes since right before Halloween. Then again, it's not there's actually anybody at SSG with even the basest of basic marketing skills.

This is actually true for me!
...and I don't want to feel this way about a game I have been playing for over a DECADE! The betrayal of trust from SSG not giving fair value for my $$$ is weighing heavy on me for sure!

My challenge to SSG... Change my mind! because right now I don't feel as if I have been given a reasonable choice!

Important - Remember that (historically!) the DDO Black Friday Sales END ON MONDAY, Nov. 30! They are in addition to the "weekly" sales, and are not extended past the Black Friday/Cyber Monday 4-day period! Don't be that person.

Typically(!), a sale includes a deep discount on several specific Store/Market items, but the selection of those seems fairly random and hard to predict. Possibilities include maybe 1-3 quest packs/expansions, maybe 1 race, maybe 1 class, and maybe another store item or three like tomes or storage. Lots of "maybes", but never have "races", as an umbrella item, gone on sale.

o 2019 (the 50% "Market items" were 3 expansions)

As you can see, pretty much all over the map. Of course, with the give-aways over the summer, that might change, or continue as before, or be something entirely new. Just don't expect the world.

Things I would like to see on Black Friday.

BTC Eternal Elite dungeon key - (a little pricey)

Genii ATM - Consumable instant banker (it summons a banker for 5 minutes) - (pretty cheap)

Samurai armor and katana set (Cosmetic) - ($?)

Universal scrolls (consumable BTA) [you use it to activate the scroll then the next spell you throw is consumed
and is turned into a scroll of that spell at your casting level.] {way to make scrolls of spells you know} - ($?)
