Question on Friends List and Chat-Related Issues

I also wonder is the overall increase in lag related to toons constantly dropping and trying to reconnect to chat server? Just a thought. But the lag is not improved, even after restart.

Chat issues are still ongoing on wayfinder for myself and the people I run with. Usually happens after a 2nd or 3rd log in and lasts for around 5 minutes.

Is this issue still being investigated?

We are playing on Cannith for many years now and last Monday it was the first time it happened. No chat server and no friends list. Logging out and in again didn't help.
After 15 minutes it started working again.

The Thelanis Chat Servers still appear to be sporadic when they decide to bother to establish a connection. That problem is persistent and (at least for my account) has been occurring on a daily basis since around July 2020. I get the impression SSG had partial success for some people that reside within USA when they attempted a fix? Although of course not everyone lives there.

I clearly remember the U48 Release notes mentioned that work had been done regarding the Chat server. Obviously no effort was made to fix the above ongoing connection issue.

Cordovan, if you were to gaze into your DDO Crystal ball; do you think there is any likelihood this specific "Friends List/Chat Server" issue will be attempted to resolved before next summer? I'd rather know if it's something you don't think will be resolved by then - rather than waste time hoping. Since SSG are fully aware the "issue" is still ongoing for certain accounts. Effective communication is key. :-)

I've been experiencing issues as well. I'll log in, and who knows when or if I will ever get logged into the chat server.

On Wednesdays' raid night the party got split into two groups of partychat somehow. Everyone that switched toons and joined the group again couldn't converse with the original group.
It's been month. What needs to happen that you take action? Fix this, SSG. No please and begging anymore. Get someone that can help if you can't do it on your own.

I can give you an update.
The patch did do zip, zilch, nada, diddly-squat, nothing and/or nil for chat issues, friend list or lag.
