    Default Coronation vs Phosphor

Over many years of running the Orchard, I have managed to farm both Coronation (19-20x3) and Phosphor (16-20x2). Coronation is (apparently) a piercing weapon, dealing sizeable bludgeon damage on crit. Phosphor is bludgeon, dealing minor light damage on crit. I have rolled a deep gnome alchemist/wizard-EK, and these weapons fall in the INT to hit/damage list.

I'm at the point I need to chose improved crit, either bludgeon or pierce. My gut tells me that 15-20 range has got to be twice as good as 18-20, but the x3 deals 50% more damage, and there is the extra bludgeon. Then there is the blueshine on Phosphor.

Anybody have experience with these weapons? I know they are not mainstream, but they seem to fit the little bugger, so I'm going to use one or the other.

    Thanks for any insight.

    Default nevermind, tried it out

Took both out to gianthold and the cogs. Phosphor takes them down quicker.

For Imp Crit, the important thing is not the damage it does, but the type of weapon it is. One is a Morningstar, one is a Heavy Mace.

Both weapons use Imp Crit: Blunt.
Kobold sentient jewel still hate you.
