    Default Update 46 Preview 2: Named Loot

    Update 46 is expected to contain the following new named loot items located in the quests of "The Lost Gatekeepers" adventure pack. During this preview you can easily access this loot via "The Loot Guy" NPC located in the center of the Test Dojo. Below you can see listings for all of the named loot expected in Update 46 including Heroic and Legendary variants as well as Legendary exclusive Minor Artifacts and Filigree Sets.

    • Heroic Bronze Figurine currently had a +0 bonus to Parrying instead of the intended Magical Sheltering +5.
    • Charune, Grand Burden of Fury had placeholder art
    • The heroic version of Kinetic Sphere erroneously had Force Absorption and Energy Siphon.
    • Some chests were dropping a placeholder basic dagger instead of named loot
    • Artifacts were using the drop rates of regular quest loot.

    • Blood Rage Anytime you are hit there is a chance that you will fall into a Blood Rage. Blood Rage gives up to a +8 bonus to Strength and Constitution but will also cause short periods of lethargy when your lust for blood becomes sated.
    • Vengeful While its wielder is hit in battle, this item has a 10% chance to cause him or her to become full of anger and go into a Rage.
    • Enhanced Bloodrage This weapon is enhanced by blod - your blood! Each time you take damage or kill an enemy, there is a small chance that you will fal into an unholy bloodrage, greatly increasing your Melee Power, Constitution, and Damage. However, this rage will leave you more vulnerable to Physical attacks, slightly reducing your Armor Class.

    I still think that the material part of weapons shouldn't count as one of its effects, given that stronger effects exist to make them count as ALL materials.

    I don't think giving Metalline to these would be thematic, but that Silver Blade of the Flame not counting as a Silver weapon or even Flametouched Iron still sounds odd.

    I know making it both silver and holy sounds like it would tread on the toes of the Barovian Weapons.

    Alternatively, make it a Blade of the Sovereign Host. It's their favored weapon, not the Flame's!
    Give it Charisma skill bonuses. Even subtler, give it Charisma to damage or to hit.

    As-is, the heroic weapon doesn't even fit its own description...
    "This is a fine weapon, crafted of exquisite Silver..."

    If the graphics weren't already settled in, I'd have suggested keeping the enchantment list, but making it a longbow.
    At least, making the arrows that fly out magically turn into silver makes it sound more legendary, and the bow being made out of silver but not piercing DR makes a lick of sense.

    This is the last comment I'll make about this item. But I definitely want it changed. Because I'm wearing the sharn set meant for a caster cleric and the best WISDOM caster artifact conflicted with it. Purposefully could NOT be worn with the cleric/fvs set. Very unfair.

    Now here is a new wisdom artifact and it still conflicts with the cleric/fvs set because cleric/fvs equipment ALWAYS seems to have devotion/healing lore like we don't have a bazillion ways to get enough healing spell power. Specifically the sharn set already has devotion/healing lore on the bracers.

    So we weren't meant to use the Band of Diani ir'Wynarn, and now it looks like we aren't meant to use this either. Why? What exactly do you the devs intend for caster cleric/fvs to use as their artifact? Please answer.

    To actually make this item usable in conjunction with the Legendary Flamecleansed Fury set could it be:

    At the moment there are 2x 4 piece filigree sets that give +2 to all DCs and 2x 4 piece filigree sets that give +2 to 1 DC. Giving +1 to some DCs with 3 pieces is not bad. Giving +1 to some DCs with 4 pieces is not worth it. Maybe change it to +1 to some DCs at 3 pieces, and an additional +1 to *all* DCs at 4 pieces?

    Also, why is there a rare bonus to an individual spellpower that's lower than the rare bonus to all spellpowers?

    Still say the nullification on the only caster club is redundant since most wizards - alchs are using necro gear sets with max null n poi already

    I don't know what else to put there instead but anything would be better give me a single decent thing i'd probably buy this pack first day just for a new club to sw

    No. That trinket is the devs throwing a bone to strength based characters so they have a good alternative to the raid part of the family necklace.


    Two things I see missing from this updates loot. An accuracy item that is not a ring or a helmet and a good insightful con item that does not conflict with the part of the family set.

    Adding an Insightful/Quality or otherwise unique bonus would minimize the risk of redundancy. Perhaps Insightful or Quality Fort Bypass, too? Or something like a monk's "Greater Reinforced Fists" that adds stacking 1W damage to melee attacks?

    "String of ears" ? Uh, that sounds really gruesome ... I really don't want to imagine having cut-off ears hanging around the neck of my character all of the time ... *shudders*
    (The only item that makes me shudder more right now is that Ear Dweller ... I'd never take it ...)

    "Bottle of Shadows" ? Sounds funny ... But then, there is "good absorption" in it ... Is this aimed at Pale Masters ?

    Sorry, but I'm more a story/lore/settings type ... And names of items can be powerful, yes.

    I had just an idea : What about calling it it "Lindilae's Bottle of Shadows" ? Or maybe "Lady Wrasse's Bottle of Shadows" ? What I mean with that is that I'd find it funny to have cross-references to monsters which appear only in events ... Similar to the treasure maps from Crystal Cove which are named after other NPCs within the game ... Both are from the Night Revels quest "Haverdashed".

    Meaning that an intem called "String of ears" could also be called "string of toes", which would be a reference to Two-toed Tobias (where did his other toes go ?) and be an easter egg in the form of a reference to the Genesis song "Harold the Barrel" ... Three-finger Tad ( that's at least how I remember his name; I think he is a guild ship vendor) would also be a likely candidate (where did his other fingers go ?) ...

    So, is it still possible to switch false life for Profane/Normal Negative Hamp? As already said , every latest armor in the game already has the false life bonus on it.
