Default 64 bit client crashes as soon as I log in

The title says it all. I have been told this is a known issue but can't find any details on it.

ISSUE: The 32 bit client works fine. When I have 64 bit enabled I can log in, but as soon as I choose a world and hit "Play" there is a brief "Getting in line to connect" message and then it closes completely.

I am running Windows 8.1 and it is a 64-bit OS.

    Any help would be appreciated.

So... nothing? Nobody else has this issue? Devs don't read the forums any more?

The 64-bit client on my Windows 10 (64-bit OS) computer crashes immediately after I hit play. I don't even get the "getting in line to connect" message.

It's beta software, which means it doesn't work 100% for everyone and could have bugs, crashes and performance issues. I don't expect it to be fixed until the next update of the 64-bit client at the earliest.

Is it getting stopped on the Windows firewall?

What kind of crash? Like a blue screen, a window opening with some info, or just plain dissappearing?

Just disappears. Watching in task manager, the process is there. Then after I hit play it isn't. No error message, no blue screen. Back to how things were before I started the loader.

The 32-bit client still works fine. I'd rather spend my time playing than troubleshooting beta software that replaces something that works.

Thanks for the reply. Game just closes completely. The computer doesn't crash.

Try bullet point #3 in this article (Or the other two if that doesn't work).

    https://help.standingstonegames.com/hc/en-us/articles/115001558668-201-error-after-install-or-Crash-after-clicking-Play-button-

It could be corrupt DX 9 64bit files. I doubt anything else on your system is using them so you would never know.

    Hope this helps
