    Default Global Cannith Crafter viability?

Hey, I was remembering the guy that did the global guild ship and am *thinking* about doing something similar with Cannith Crafting.

Obviously, unbound crafting is expensive to level, so I would grab a bunch of essences from the store to reach the useful levels.

I would basically craft for free, you provide the ingredients, maybe double essences to help with my leveling. Maybe even go with a name like Merlin so everyone would know to mail me excess essences?

But is that even worth it? Or are people parking their own personal crafter toons to make *bound* items?

What do you think? Is there a legit need?

    1) Essences from the store are ridiculously expensive. it would be probably cheaper to pot-zerg to 30 and farm legendary content for gear to crunch.
    2) I suspect collectables will be the bottleneck.

    I suggest you
    /joinchannel openguild

and consider joining Open Guild for All I or II

We had about three players pressing their crafting levels up, and there was considerable sharing and trading of collectibles.

I would hesitate to shard a toon to high crafting levels, but I am only going to be buying shards for the guilds airships and buffs.

Would we be glad to promote you as an Open Guild Crafting Associate?
    Sure.

I would be interested in being part of that. And I can definitely help out with the Astral Shards.

Do we know when it's starting back up again?

    Bad idea.
All of the Unbound recipes require Purified Dragonshards.
    Purified Dragonshards are BtA.
There are some unbound sources of Purifieds, but they are really rare (Tomes and Eberron dragonshards).
They also cost hundreds of essences, and more than double the collectables cost.

Can't say I agree on the Purified Dragonshards - if you know what you are doing you can farm roughly 12 every 8 minutes - of course that requires a group though.

However, I do actually agree with you - it's the collectables that are the real killer.
