Default Thief Acrobat Build Request - Half-Orc?

For years (since 2012) I've been considering putting together a Thief Acrobat build. Half-Orc might make it fun and interesting. Are any builds like this posted anywhere? I won't have any tomes for this character.

Pure rogue is what I had always thought of, but there are some neat things available by splashing barbarian, fighter, or monk. I'm really leaning towards Half-Orc, so having a feat fewer than going human might tempt me to splash fighter.

    Thanks!

I loved running a barb/rogue/fvs build back in the day.

Most lvls in barb, at least 3 (for feat Swords to Plowshares) in rogue and 1 for fvs or 2 for cleric both divine for Divine Might.
Barb or Rogue T5 are both fun to do. Just try out what suits you more. If you just go for Divine Might 1 lvl Divine is enough. But if you take 2 lvl cleric you can chose the Destruction Domain.
You have some self healing in that build and depending on difficulty you can adjust you enhancements how much heals you need.

I saw some pure Monk or Rogues running around, too even before the ED adjustments.

Do you have a detailed idea of what would be fun for you? Or do you need a class? I didn't focus on H-orc since every race would work.

    Cheers,
    Titus.

Before the enhancement pass there was some horc acrobat build called... Flying circus? Or something like that, 13 rogue 6 monk 1 druid for ram's might and shillelagh or something like that

You will need ring of lies (due to old deception proc) and improved feint, it was hell of fun and dps, u didn't need healing before everybody had healing everywhere
psykopeta is finally baconpletionist because there isn't anything to delay it more - thelanis, where the gimps claim to be pros and noobs claim to be pros, no newbies allowed(unless they claim to be pros), we have enough drama w/o them. PS: I post only in the latest thread shown in main page, in the weird case u want something from me, feel free to send pm

Celestial Sapphire Ring from Sharn also has the Improved Deception proc and that's a lot easier to get your hands on.

Thanks for the input so far! Since this weekend has Veteran III unlocked, this is the perfect time to create this character.

Checking out the links and digging around the forums and wiki, I think pure rogue might be what I'm looking for. (I do have monk available, but I've never played one and they look like they might be complicated or a clickfest.)

DEX-based looks like it might be better than STR-based.

Improved Feint followed up by Cleave and Great Cleave sounds like a good combo.

Halfling is starting to look very appealing to me, but that would make it tougher to reach the 13 STR threshold for feats. Half-Orc could be fun, but would be better if I went STR-based and the THF line of feats. Drow and Human are also appealing.

Goofing around in the racial enhancements is probably taking good stuff away from the rogue trees. At level 15, I really had no idea what feat to take, so the self-healing from the halfling dragonmark looked entertaining.

@ new(er) players - Vet III starts a new* character at Level 10, which is great if you/'re either 1) in a hurry to get to 20(+), or 2) just want to get a feel for the build at mid-heroics. However, if you intend to chase RXP, consider that you're losing the RXP for Level 2-5 quests (and 6 & 7 are noticeably reduced).

Just in case that's a balancing factor.

Thanks! I'm mostly wanting to quickly hit 20 and TR with it. That would also give me a feel for the build so I can do it better when I start at level 1 on the second life.

This is granted free by level 3 Acrobat core so you only need to take on, say, a pure Henshin.

I went with the Half-Orc build, since that one doesn't need a tome right away. I picked up a ML4 Oar from Crystal Cove, which should be good for a while. I do have a Souleater in the bank - might that be better against living enemies?

At first I thought about putting 11AP into assassin for Trick, but put those into Half-Orc for the rage action boost instead. (I do enjoy Shiv and Trick on my drow assassin, so I might regret not having those right away.)

You may want to think about freeing up 8 AP's to dump into Falconry (if you have) for the Meticulous Weaponry enhancement.

Without it you're going to go through Staffs like there's no tomorrow. If you have multiple of each then you'll be OK.

    Probably at least.

You will need to get very used to repairing after every quest though

I don't have Falconry, but thanks for the tip! Wood weapons wear down quickly - that makes sense! I planned to have a few in my inventory for back-ups, but I will collect several. I do craft quarterstaff ooze beaters for my THF characters using steel quarterstaff blanks, so at least that one would be a bit more durable than the others.
