    Default Strimtom's Hardcore Ready Character builds!

    Hey! Do you want to be super ready for hardcore but not sure what to play yet? I have below several sure fire and strong builds that aren't very gear dependant that can get you started and will bring you from level 1 all the way into high reaper mode!

    I'll be rating the builds from 1-5 for solo ability and party play, as well as telling you what kind of build it is and what the main features are. Here is a video which explains all the builds, with a timecode in the description.

    Main Features: Self sufficient, high damage, very tanky, fast playstyle. Both good AOE and single target damage. Sorcerer Good. Uses both fire and lightning spells until you can ignore fire immunity at level 20.

    For your monk build, you really want to free up 11AP for Ninja Spy Shadow Veil. 25% incorp is insanely powerful for an under-geared toon.

    Aasimar racials are great and all but the NS core 3 is really powerful at keeping you alive, particularly at low levels.

    Hardcore -- first life -- there will be less choices for epic destiny feats (you won't be able to get dire charge, frog, etc.) and there will only be 3 fate points so no twist of fates.

    I'm laughing my head off at the ED twists and Epic Destiny suggestions. It's not like you're going to hit 20, and get to choose those things.

    Other than that, decent builds...

    But remember, getting through the first levels is what matters... Builds that develop slowly ("You get this awesome ability at level 13!") may not last long enough.

    For instance, I like your first build a lot... A pure dwarf barb..

    Getting Blood Tribute as fast as possible is a must.

    But why wait so long to get Blood Strength from Ravager? I'd shoot straight towards that instead of spending AP in Occult Slayer.

    People need to focus on defensive abilities as quick as they can.

    Another interesting example about building to survive low levels is your warlock build.

    Shouldn't one get Feigned Health right away? You don't have that as an enhancement until level 9. Temp hp will be hugely important in hardcore.

    Thanks for the work on these! I'm sorry if I'm dense, but Cleric is not my main. Why is Charisma the high stat instead of Wisdom? Why does a dragon dragonborn heal better than Aasimar?
    The core of the server is very hard. It has a very Hardcore.

    Why does your Scourge build take the hide skill? Is there some use for this I'm not aware of? I assume you're not expecting to use stealth as you're not taking Move Silently.

    I'd think Search, Jump or Haggle would be much more useful.

    Scion of Ethereal Plane adds 1/3 the hide skill to damage.

    LOL. Thanks for the info. Maybe I'm overly pessimistic, but I don't think I need to spend too much thought preparing for what level 30 feat I'm going to take.

    Any advice for a solo (normal/hard) friendly trapper with a bit of self heals that doesn't require an $80 collectors pack to do op damage (inquisitor) ? I like wf arti/wizard but not willing to put that much money down

    I feel the same way itamashii. I'd like to jump onboard the new OP Inquisitor, but I'm waiting for Shard to go on sale before I buy it (by which time I'm sure it will have been nerfed from orbit...).

    Others are much better authorities on builds than I; but for solo-able trapper I'd consider warforged artificer using repeaters. You can either stay pure or go 18 arty/2 rogue to add evasion. Great self healing, strong defense from the Mastermaker tree and great ranged DPS boosted by the rune-arm. Arties are especially powerful at lower heroic levels, where you're likely to spend a lot/most of your time on the hardcore server.

    Also AFAIK vorpal strikes are not working unless wearing no hand wraps.

    I'm also curious, I see where you loose the good being applied to your weapons, but don't see the reason.

    Not speaking for him, but I imagine this was just rushed and defaulted to TN on the planner he used. I don't see any reason to give up potential Good bypass here

    Arty gets throwing healing potions in Renegade Mastermaker; they can be free metamagiced (Max,Emp) for good healing.
    I've been running a Rogue/Artificer with points in Mechanic, Harper, and Mastermaker, and it's been doing well so far (10th level).
