    The wish is fantastic news!

Gives me hope that one day we may get a "Limited Wish" that grants the look of any race you choose until you reincarnate.

Well this is how it's written in the Release Notes:

    DDO Store
    ..New item
    ....Wish for Memories
My take on "the grind": https://www.ddo.com/forums/showthrea...=1#post6220972

Ordinary humans have inhibitions that serve as a buffer against what we know is bad behavior.
However, some people, by blaming others for their own bad behavior, develop a thought pattern that allows them to override self-control in order to achieve a selfish end.
    - My opinion on exploiters and cheaters blaming SSG for unfair punishment.

    "Wish for Memories.
Wish for Memories is an item you can use in addition to the Heart of Blood when performing a Racial Reincarnation. When using a Wish, you must select a race you own on the account. Upon completion of the reincarnation you will gain a past life of the wish you used, and not the race you previously were.
Example: I am currently playing a tiefling, I want to earn the racial past life of a human, but I want to stay as a tiefling. You can purchase a Wish for Human Memories to use in addition with the Heart of Blood to earn a Human past life, but stay as a Tiefling."

    Oh this is NICE.

The last part of the second paragraph that ends with, "but stay as a tiefling" throws me off a bit. I assume the way this new wish works is that you play as any race you want and when you TR you get to pick the racial past life of any race you want even if that is not what you just played. You would then TR as usual starting as whatever race and class you wish. The wording "stay as a tiefling" implies that you would be stuck as a tiefling for the next life, almost as if the wish were influencing what the racial TR of your next life would be and not the racial TR you are about to do.

I'm sure it doesn't work this way. The wish must give you an immediate racial past life for any race you want and then allow you to TR as normal picking whatever race you wish for your next life.

    Question Pay for a Race...

...then pay to not play it. Hmm.

No but really in all seriousness, I don't consider this new Wish a bad thing at all. It could be a great way for people to avoid playing races that don't interest them much and still get some benefit, and could be a great metric gathering tool for racial balance as well.

    Two things though:
Don't make it cost as much as a race/heart for those willing to buy it
DO make it a grind-able acquisition if possible, you REALLY want people to have access to this item for the above mentioned analytics reason.

Hey Cordovan was curious why some of the races for Wishes are missing from the store. Eg: Warforge, DragonBorn, and Tiefling

We'll track it down. Any race your account has access to should be available.
