Default Paladin Soloist of Vol (Help Wanted)

Hello, so my main two requirements for this build are 1) Pally PL, 2) Vistani Knife Fighter
My next biggest goal is being able to solo well... which for me, means being able to trap since I don't have anything memorized (I stopped playing around U33 and recently got back into it).
Aside from that, I'm just looking to have a fun Pally PL.

From what I've gathered, Pally 14 should be the most I take given that I'm wanting to split (probably at least 2 into rogue for trapping + evasion) because I only need Zeal (but I wouldn't necessarily be opposed to 15 for deathward so I don't have to slot deathblock on crafted items). Holy Sword would be redundant with the core Vistani enhancements correct?

    I was thinking 14/3/3

14 Paladin would give Zeal + Past Life + Divine Grace Saves + Divine Might Damage + Presumably other things I'm forgetting because hey I just copy builds off the forums

3 Rogue would grant Trapping (hopefully), 2d6 sneak attack (for when I want to group and can get that extra damage), and +1 trap sense (and evasion, but so does monk)

3 Monk would grant Stances (I'm assuming either Earth or Wind... I only though Earth because of crit range that I thought I remembered from somewhere, but don't see it atm) + Some Dodge right? + Path of Harmonious balance healing (and evasion, but so does rogue)

That being said, I could also see a 14/6 or 15/5 split Pally/Rogue. 5 gives me 3d6 SA and 6 would give me +2 trap sense. 15/5 would also let me run deathward

As far as build order is concerned, I'm honestly not sure. I'm fairly certain I want Rogue at 1,9, 17 or 1, 8, 15 if I'm doing the 14/3/3 split. If I'm doing 15/5, then 1, 5, 9, 13, 17 seems like a decent enough breakdown to me. Although, I could understand frontloading/backloading rogue levels because they're in excess (considering most splits I've seen end up being X/2)

Obviously, I'd personally prefer a build more catered towards what I have, but even a general 32pt minimal/no tomes build would be nice to work off of.

I have +7 Tomes in every stat
I have Monk, Ranger, Rogue, and Bard PLs (yes, a very suboptimal order... painful realization that random PLs aren't that great)
I only have one racial enhancement (tome)
I do NOT have Scourge, Scoundrel, Dragonborn, Gnome, Wood Elf, or Deep Gnome

Since my current life (Swash Bard) is decent enough, I'm probably gonna spend a bit of time grinding extra tokens (hit 20 right before I posted this) for future lives, and I also need to grab some items like Slice & Dice
That being said, I haven't played in a long time and probably have a TON of junk named loot cluttering my TR cache and bank slots. I also probably have a TON of loot that's been introduced in Sharn, Ravenloft, and other packs that I SHOULD grind for.

Packs I DON'T have: White Plume Mountain, Tangleroot, Sorrowdusk, Trials of the Archon, Temple of Elemental Evil, Restless Isles, Ruins of Threnal, Dragonblood Prophecy, Disciples of Rage, Mines of Tethyamar, Reign of Madness, Devils of Shavarath, Reaver's Reach, Secrets of Artificers, Druid's Deep, High Road of Shadows, and Heart of Madness

For this specific build, I have:
Weapons: Tenebrous Stiletto and Ancient Vulkoorim Dagger (working on Slice & Dice). Idk if there are any lower leveled ones I should grind for, or if crafting should be enough (lvl 177)
Armor: Deneith Heavy Chain, Kundarak Delving Suit, and Crimson Chain ... Black and White DScale Robe if Monk
Helmet: Sacred Helm, Minos Legens, Sage's Skullcap, Dreadadmiral Tricorn (mL 12, DD 15, False Life 40)and Helm of Frost (Might of Abishai worth it)
Rings: Ring of Stalker (11), Keylock Ring, Sacred Band, and Signet of the Silver Flame
Bracers: Bracers of Twisting Shade (Elite ... might be worth looking into N/H for level requirement) and Ethereal Bracers
Boots: Featherfall Boots (ml1), Marshwalker, and Goatskin Boots (Elite)
Gloves: Loot Gen Devotion 51 & Potency 31 (ml 6), Spectral Gloves, Charged Gauntlets, and Crumbling Gloves
Belt: Crafted Dodge 6% Deathblock (ml 11), Loot Gen Con +7 False Life +24 Insightful Con +3 (ml18)
Cloak: Envenomed Cloak, Prismatic Cloak Gray (Seems bad to me, but I could be missing something), and Cloak of Invis with Heavy Fort
Trinket: VoM (ofc), Craftable Trinket (dunno what I'd put in it though), Gem of Many Facets (probably junk), *OLD Treasure Hunter Spyglass mL 16 (Spot 13, Search 13, True Seeing, UMD 3), OLD* Spyglass 20 (Spot 20, Search 20, Insightful Int 2, True Seeing, and Enhanced UMD 3), and I suppose I should grind some ioun stones
Neck: Silver Flame Talisman and Nightforge Gorget
Goggles: Raven's Sight and Crafted Seeker 5 Deadly 4 (mL 9)

So clearly could use some work, but idk if crafting or grinding would ultimately be better.

I appreciate any and all thoughts/comments/suggestions!

    Yes.

The crit bonus got moved to Sun stance and doesn't kick in until you have Master of Forms.

Given the +7 tomes, do you think it'd be worthwhile to take it then? +Str for damage anyways and the crit range? 14/3/3 > 14/6 or 15/5?

    Couple things going on here...

First, you're only going to 20, so plan an 18-Level build - you'll only see 19 & 20 for the blink of an eye. Do you really care if you get Zeal for just Level 20 while you farm your 20 Tokens?

Second - If Monk, no armor? Gonna be a neat trick on build that doesn't have much else in the way of defenses built in.

Third - if you want to trap, can you do that w/ a Str build? If you've got the leet gear, you're set, but if you're scrounging, you may be in deep yogurt.

Fourth - You only need/want 1 level of Rogue if you're trapping, and 2 if you're going Evasion. 3 gives you very little. And, again - if Str build, can you get/keep your Ref ST high enough to enjoy the Evason?

Fifth - If you want to actually enjoy Zeal before Level 18, you want to stop there - Rogue 2/Pali 16, Zeal at 16, Holy Sword at 17, done. If you splash more, you might as well just take the full dive and go 6/6/Pali 8 and enjoy a different class entirely while getting the PL.

So - have you considered an Int build? 12 AP in Harper and you're set for damage, and Insightful Reflexes make you (mostly) Single-Attribute Dependent, and you have all the skill points you need for trapping - win/win/win.

If you don't have Harper (well get it!) - meh, then you're really diluting what little awesome sauce there can be found in Pali too much.

    1) Fair point. I should be making use of something like Zeal as early as possible otherwise there's no point.

    2) I guess I was more fixated on dodge which has a relatively low cap compared to the benefit from decent armor

    3) Originally, I wasn't too worried about that because at level 10, I get Keylock Ring which is +12 to Search/Spot/DD/OL. Having downloaded a planner and are now looking at the planner, I see just how tight skill points are. I'd need to start with at least 16 Int to be able to put a point into DD, Search, and Spot at every level.

Ended up with a weird feat spread. Earlier Fighter would delay Zeal by 1 level (getting Zeal at 18 rather than 17), but it could let me get something like precision/dodge earlier on.

Again, I haven't played in a while, so I could be missing some glaring flaw. Seems like Aasimar/Tiefling would be the way to go. Tiefling just isn't in the builder I used. The extra fire damage could be nice level 1 with the free racial enhancement point.
