Just a word of warning, pure spellsinger is not great for soloing. It is pretty much entirely devoted to support. You have CC, you have healing, and you have just a splash of aoe spell damage. But even if you go all in on sonic blasting, the damage is nowhere near what a sorcerer does. It's below artificer blasters and warlocks as well.

So if you had an image in your mind of a spellsinger running around sonic blasting everything into oblivion, that is not what will happen.

That being said, if you mix in some swashbuckler and take a few melee feats (SWF line + Improved Crit) it can go a long way to increase your overall performance. It only takes 15 AP in swashbuckler to get all the essentials. The rest can go in Spellsinger.

Oh ok, spellsinger will be awesome for that role. I'd make sure you have Extend Spell so your buffs like Haste and Rage last longer. There's a newer feat too that makes one of the bardic songs better.

You'll want Warchanter as your 2nd tree to make your bardsongs better as well.

That's actually pretty straightforward. Spellsinger makes a great crowd-controller / party-support toon if you don't care about soloability.

Race: drow / Tiefling for the extra CHA; or human for the extra feat which I'm using for DM of Finding because everyone loves a good chestblesser amirite?

I'm not sure what's the best ED for an Enchanter these days, so feel free to experiment. I think you can hit higher DCs and Spell Pen in Exalted Angel if that's an issue.

EDIT: I only listed the spells I consider must-haves. [Grease: the ultimate party buff.] Do what you want with the remaining spell slots.

Also this will be a PITA to heroic-level, in fact you may wish to level as a Swashbuckler such as the Count of MC then LR at higher levels to redo your feats etc. in Spellsinger focus.

I generally agree that buff bot/support bard is pretty simple. It's worth noting though that some raid parties would definitely prefer T5 in Warchanter and only T4 in Spellsinger.

If I was going to design the 12th party member bard buff bot for my raid party, they'd have T5 warchanter for party DPS and the Spellsinger Capstone for Heal.

T5 spellsinger vs warchanter for a support bard is entirely preference though, there's no wrong answer. People (including me) love the SP song.

    Default Wrong assumptions

Yes this is a necro, but its also the first post for people looking for a spell singer bard.

Spell singer is not hard to level in heroics at all because they get access to shout SLA as early as level 3. it scales to CL 15 so until then you just spam shout. by the time you do hit level 15 you got your level 12 enhancement points unlocked and have access to Horn of Thunder. Very little can stand up to either of them (elite and r1 max, anything past that and I dont care your build you wont be soloing easily without amazing gear). The spell and SLA sonic blast you use for boxes and keeping things from smacking you in the face while shout and/or horn of thunder are on cooldown. The sonic dot reverberation isnt total trash in heroics depending on the level, but its not any better or worse than eldars or niacs dot spells.

What makes Shout and Horn so amazing is
    1. CL 15 and 25
    2. An element that is usually not resisted.

Again, sorry for the necro, but anyone wanting to look up spell singer should know that in heroics, its not trash.

I ran a sonic, evocation, enchantment focused pure bard a fews years ago...before Reaper was a thing.

    It was cake to level.

    I did a lot of...Blur>Displacement>Invisible>run to end of quest>Charm/Suggestion the Trash>kill boss>loot chest>DDoor out under dungeon alert.

I wasn't sure how it would do in current Meta, but I always felt if you in a party...you just play like the ultimate party player...CC and heals and buffs.

When solo, play like a spy. Sneak and invis everywhere, keep miss chance/dodge up with blur/displacement. When I had to kill a room, I would use Shout, Greater Shout, Soundburst, Horn of Thunder.

At level 20, I did change enhancments for the Mass Hold SLA.

The trick back then was focusing on keeping Resonance Spell power high and taking enhancements that boosted this.

Here is a nice build that I used (I think I changed a couple things)
    https://www.ddo.com/forums/showthrea...-Current-Mania

In fact talking about this...it is almost TR time, I think I am going to try a Dragonborn Shouter.
