    Default Ooze Savant,

    Ooze Savant

This build is the highest high reaper boss dps build in DDO, with a capacity to deal 3-20x as much dps as any other dps build in DDO. It has taken me a few weeks to finally get to epics to test this stuff out and refine this build.

This build involves an entirely WAI combo to produce this dps. I'm going to go over it step by step, so that you understand what is going on. First, you need an arcane, and a sorcerer will do fine. Now the feats don't really matter, and the build really doesn't matter either, so whatevers. Copy someone else's build, like some necro player. Swap some or all of the necro focus to transmutation based on your gear and character's power level and level of reaper you plan to run. You also want some pet/summon feats/sentience/twists.

The first step of our plan is to summon a monster. Now summoned monsters like players are hit by a reaper penalty to damage. A high reaper penalty divides damage by 14 or so, and summoned monsters aren't very strong, so this summoned monster is basically useless. Now, the strongest and easiest repeatably summon monster is an Ooze produced by LGS Ooze weapons. Such a weapon looks like this:

The weapon summons a maximum of three oozes relatively quickly in combat casting multi-hit spells like magic and chain missiles, which can be scrolled with an ooze weapon offhand. Oozes themselves have dungeon and raid scaling, and are essentially a Summon Monster III spell cast essentially as a caster level 1 item spell, except with stats appropriate to the difficulty of the dungeon. Such an Ooze looks like this:

Now, you don't really want to control summoned monsters with damage divided by 14, you want to control charmed monsters with damage multiplied by 14, which deal 200x as much damage. As such, first you want to dispel your summoned control over the monsters, then re-charm them as charmed monsters. The spell you need to do that is dispel magic, which can also be scrolled. Note that Dispel Magic allows you to target your own summons as friendly targets. Since an item cast the ooze summon as a level 1 caster, the scroll is all you need to dispel the summon control:

This produces a free ooze attacking randomly (usually into boss right next to it), which as a free monster is multiplied by 14x in high reaper:

Then you let the ooze attack randomly as per Dispel Magic. See picture above when it is beating on the boss. If it turns on you, just charm it with Ooze Puppet and reset it with another dispel magic. Voila! As a free or charmed mob, it now has 14x damage multiplier instead of divider for damage due to reaper debuff. With a 6 second duration on Ooze puppet, you can keep 3 of these oozes charmed, each of which will hit harder than a player. Add in bonus damage to summoned mob effects and enjoy.

However, lets say you want more damage than this. What you do instead is spawn summons such as a hezrou, dispel your control over them, and spawn and split and kill oozes off that summon and other oozes to spawn a Carnage Reaper. This takes time, so ideally there is some sort of stairs and gather point before a boss where you can do this before the main fight starts. Now Carnage Reapers happen to have a stacking up to 200% vulnerability, and as a charm that dispels rapidly on its own or that can be dispelled when needed, becomes an ally of the boss when needed to make it invulnerable to boss AoE effects and to drop aggro to 0 every 6 seconds.

By having a carnage reaper and a few oozes under your control, not counting any free oozes, not only will you deal triple the damage of anyone else in the raid, you will triple the raids damage with the Carnage Reaper vulnerability. So you will end up dealing 20x as much damage as anyone else in the raid.

Outside of red names, you will have a weaker necro, but stronger flesh to stone and slow.

    ... Scary lol

So u could scroll some summon lousy monster, get rid of your control over it, use magic missiles for crappy damage and ooze procs instead of waiting to face some real mob? XD to start the sequence of madness i mean
psykopeta is finally baconpletionist because there isn't anything to delay it more - thelanis, where the gimps claim to be pros and noobs claim to be pros, no newbies allowed(unless they claim to be pros), we have enough drama w/o them. PS: I post only in the latest thread shown in main page, in the weird case u want something from me, feel free to send pm

    love your way of thinking

by no means original, you can call it The Oozemaster (not arcane-only caster prestige from pnp)

clever. You can bring in the charm power even on an isolated boss

Devs will nerf this in 7.2 months

So updated build to show step by step process, and to show how to bring Carnage Reaper charms and debuffs to bear even on an isolated boss. Also yes, Severlin said in an interview recently that he plans to alter reaper to disable charms from dealing enhanced damage, and instead debuff them in reaper. So we just won't charm them after the nerf, and let them attack randomly free into the nearest target (the boss they spawned off of). Heheheh.

Dunno where link is, but yes.

It won't affect this build as much as others though, since when you dispel, mobs attack randomly and generally the closest mob. See description on Dispel Magic. Just don't charm the oozes or AoE, and they should start attacking the boss without any further charms from you at all. I'll update OP so you understand the ooze is attacking randomly into Brunstsmash due to Dispel Magic and you only need to charm it to reset its random target with dispel if it turns on you. As a mindless mob the intimitank won't be able to taunt it.

PS: TY Nemesis for that picture.

Hey Vish, do you remember when they said they would be implementing this? This just isn't a nerf to charmers, but to all of us really.
