    Default Adamantine Body

I've been trying to find an answer to this but haven't been able to.

If I take Adamantine Body, am I supposed to get the double BAB to PRR as if I had heavy armor and heavy armor proficiency? What I'm seeing right now doesn't look like it, so not sure if I'm missing something.

    Thanks!

I believe you should get the full bab from it but it could be broken bf are really outdated these days

You could try tensers scroll or spell that should work

My alts are 17lock3pally and they have around 200 prr 150 mrr so i think that def works

Yep, it does work....kinda. At level 12, I just watched my PRR go from 24 to 36 after entering my EK stance Knight's Transformation, however note that this only kicked in AFTER relogging. Before doing a relog there was no PRR change, even after re-entering the stance multiple times.

However! This is still somewhat bugged, as I'm only getting twice my BAB as if the BAB is based on just being a Wizard at level 12. Entering Knight's Transformation should change by BAB to 12 (BAB equals character level) and thus add 24 PRR for a total of 48. I'll be submitting a bug report and if anyone else is getting this please do so as well, as it's a pretty big loss especially at higher levels. I'm also THF, though not sure if that'd play a roll.

Posting this tidbit here in case someone else is looking for answers.

The relogging issue is something I've noticed as well.
As for the discrepancy, by going from 6 BaB (wizard 12) to 12, you gained 6, which added 12 PRR, which is normal

The point is that Knight's Transformation increases my BAB to my character, so it should be adding twice my level. If it's only ever going to go off the amount outside KT, then that makes it far less appealing.

It increases it TO your character level, not BY your character level.

Your BaB was 6 (12th level Wizards get 6 BaB), giving you 12 PRR from your heavy armor. Twice your BaB, as expected.
It became 12 (your total level), giving you 24. Twice your new and improved BaB.

You had 12 PRR from your BaB before. That number increased to 24.
The difference between getting 12 and getting 24 is 12, which is the number by which your PRR increased.

What you said didn't make sense to me, but then I remembered that I had Mithral Body before, which is BAB*1, so now the increase makes sense. I think I'll good now, thanks for the feedback.

I'll try and make this a bit clearer.

Your BaB before was 6. It became 12 thanks to Knight's Transformation.
Your PRR was 24. It became 36.

BaB PRR from armor Total PRR
    Without Knight's Transformation 6 12 (6x2) 24
    Knight's Transformation active 12 24 (12x2) 36

What the table means is you were already getting 12 PRR from your armor (6x2) before activating Knight's Transformation.
When you used KT, the PRR from your armor became 24 because of the BaB increase (now 12x2)

At level 12, KT doesn't increase your BaB by 12, it makes it 12, whatever it was before (in your case: 6).

New query - if I create a warforged with Adamantine Body in a class that does not have proficiency with heavy armour, are there any penalties beyond the ones associated with adamantine body (i.e arcane spell failure and skill penalties?).

Thinking of going L1 as an artificer with adamantine body.

    Advice appreciated.

You lose Evasion (not relevant at level 1, but could be later) and your Max Dex Bonus of +1 also caps your dodge, so you might be hurt more easily with Adamantine Body at low levels because your dodge does down so much but you don’t have any serious PRR and MRR yet. It’s level 1, so it probably doesn’t matter a lot at that level, but just something to know about.

it can be a good option, but just remember that +Dodge Cap is the only think that will matter to you and +Dodge items/effects will be irrelevant because of the dodge cap.

The good news is Warforged don't suffer non proficiency penalties from their body feats. E.g.Warforged wizard with Adamantine Body gets full benefits without having heavy armor proficiency feat as well. The downside is certain abilities keyed to medium armor doesn't work for Adamantine Body e.g. +10 PRR from Greater Rage.

For Warforged Artificer, odds are you are going for RMM bonuses which only work with Adamantine Body, so that's fine.

Thank you, also helpful. It's the characters second life, so only planning to go to 20 before the res - AC and PRR seem to be of consequence at those levels still.
