    Lynnabel,
at the risk of being perceived as greedy, can the sigils be turn-in items to Cannith Crafting process for medium Eb shards (Cannith Vendor) or possibly (please, please please) alternate collectibles for crafting components (I.E. omni-collectibles). Baby needs a new pair of Cannith Crafted shoes!

...Ok, yes, I admit, it's greedy. I'm still going to request it.

I would much rather these items fall into the metaphysical DDO toilet of unused nonsense.

To minimize the work, the S/S/S changes should follow the same pattern as you used for the Sigils. Dump them and drop the epic items directly into the loot table/chest. DDO needs less crafting systems and the S/S/S is one of the worst.

If I were redoing s/s/s I'd probably replace the entire system with one that is much less punitive, but would still let dedicated players who have dutifully hunted for their materials be able to use their fairly earned ingredients somehow. However, this is all completely hypothetical, and if this post gets quoted as proof that's what I'm doing I'm going to be very disappointed :P

I have a huge ingredient bag just for shards/seals/scrolls and it's overflowing. I'd happily toss all 250+ of them right into the ether if it let the replacement system be even slightly better.

Sounds great to me (and yes, I know this is hypothetical )!

I don't think it has to be anything major. TBH, it is much more important to me to get rid of the system for quests that aren't run in large groups any more (particularly the raids). But some kind barter system allowing conversion of old ingredients into something useful would be cool--maybe something similar to the crafting trader in the crafting hall that lets you trade in the old essences, but for something relevant to the quests that currently have s/s/s crafting components.

use Scroll, Seal or Shard to add mystic bonus 1, 2, or 3 to the item. one + for each S/S/S added.

or have a turnin vendor to updade any base item to epic with any of the s/s/s even if not all 3 available.

Just loose the entire system and let the epic items drop in the epic versions of the quests.

Why? Why not update the epic items, let them drop in the epic instances, and do away with the need for a 'foundation' of heroic items or any 'special sauce' altogether? This game could stand to lose another outdated crafting system, as you've just proven by eliminating the Sigil crafting system. It seems like it would probably be less work for a more favorable outcome, so...win-win?

Then once you've done the most pressing part and added much needed low level epic items with current itemization to the game you can continue to work on the unimportant part of updating the heroic items that there is no pressing need for at all.

I'd much rather they add the Mystical ____ that drops out of Meridia, Threnal, Sorrowdusk, etc. At least those items were once used in crafting. Hint, hint, Lynnabel! Either have them do something such as being turned into PEDs (preferable with the plethora of them I still have) or remove them from the end rewards, please!

    ...fixed that for you lol

Also, my suggestion for if/when said hypothetical time comes, if it ever does: Utilize something similar to the new raid runes system. Running an quest gives an "Epic Vault Key", "Epic Sands Token" "Epic Carnival Ticket", etc. Collect 20 and you get to epickify a base item. One thingie on normal, two thingies on hard, three thingies on elite/reaper. Maybe a special thingie from the associated raid when applicable, with a 20/35/50% (N/H/E+) chance to drop, so you need 20 quest thingies and 1 raid thingie. Makes it far simpler to and less punitive to farm for the epics while still not just auto-giving them away. And add in a barter system to trade the S/S/S in for the thingies.

    this in the release notes:

    Night Revels:
    Graveyard
Players will now wade at full speed through puddles in the Night Revels Graveyard.
Players now gain a chest for having defeated the end boss.

sweet for non wading, but having a ransacked chest in a 'quest' you HAVE to run for keys?

Also just wanted to add... Please don't waste time on the S/S/S system. Just make them drop in complete versions in the epic quests, fast and easy.

I also have a colossal bag somewhere with 500+ seals, shards and scrolls. I don't mind them vanishing in thin air, i haven't used them in ages.

Just update the items, make them drop in the final state, and make us "grind" for them if we haven't made them yet.

Maybe a headsup of a few weeks would be nice (with the item stats known), so we can use the S/S/S to make some items beforehand or something.

A belated THANK YOU to the staff for jumping on all these fixes. My PDK arti no longer cruises around in a static pose.

Any word on the Elf Dragonmark thing? Mine is about to hit yet another Feat-level, would love to toss that into the mix, like I was expecting back at Level 3.
