    Default Enemies? My Favorite!

I'm theorycrafting far in the future of what I might do someday. Has anyone tried out a build sort of like this? How did it turn out?

The idea is mostly to use light repeating crossbows to give 3x the favored enemy bonuses, and stack up 10 favored enemies (should be +28 damage against each right?). And, you know, having half the game as things you have bonus damage against.

    Default Falconry and animals

If you can spare 2 ap somewhere you can get animals as favored enemy from falconry

Falconry wasn't out yet when I conceptualized this build. I'll be running it in a couple of months and when I do I can see about freeing up a couple AP to get the favored enemy from falconry.

For others; certainly it would be easy to get 2 more AP; just get 2 extra racial AP from pastlives :P

This looks very interesting, I'll be looking forward to hearing how it plays! I broke out your Favored Enemy list for convenience.

I count +25 damage against all FEs, unless I'm missing something. 10 FE = +20, Mark of the Hunted +2, Favored Hunter III +3.

The only Enemy that seems like a tough call is the Gnome race one as it requires 17 AP in the tree. If you have a pile of racial past lives this might be defrayed a lot however. I see you list 4 racial AP. I'd suggest taking Color Spray, it is amazing and on an INT build it should be even more amazing. I'd never go past Tier II in Gnome without picking that up. Aasimar Scourge get FE Undead as a free racial feat if the AP in Gnome won't work for others (like me...) w/o the racial AP.

With Ravenloft being full of plants and constructs those are valid choices. The Harper FE can be Construct. I might swap Elemental and Ooze for Plant and Construct. I'd also take Evil Outsider much earlier since Reapers are priority targets.

Now that they have cleaned up the combat log a bit you might be able to see if the save bonuses are actually applied. I'm always a bit leery of effects which are pretty much invisible, given the track record. I'd love to hear if you do see this one way or the other.

Looks like I forgot to report back on this build after I did the life (a couple months ago). Due to wanting to TR for a spell pass or something, I only took this build from 1-20; but it over-performed my original expectations of the build significantly. I made some adjustments to enhancements/feats before I ran it though, here's what I have from my personal notes:

    Enemies? .My favorite!

    Falconry (2 AP)

      1. Hunter's Knowledge

Although I'm pretty sure I took favored enemy construct a lot earlier (then being a primal avatar destiny FE).

Cool note on aasimar scourge; however unfortunately it appears to be locked in as FE: Undead, which is the same as Vistanii (which can't be switched); so it doesn't add to the total number of favored enemies available, just reduces the AP cost to get to 2nd best. Gnome also has some good +flat damage to light repeaters, so that's a cool + to using the race, especially if you have racial AP.

For leveling order, my priorities were somewhat as follows:

Priority 1: Int to damage in harper.
    Priority 2: Cheap/easy 2AP favored enemies.
Priority 3: Deepwood Stalker Tier 5's
Priority 4: All other favored enemies/filling in the gnome tree
Selvera: Human Fighter 18; Inquisitive build
Jen: Half Elf Fvs 20/Epic 10; Healer Archer with a more supportive build then usual
Mayve: Tiefling Sorc 14; Just a pastlife for an alt

I was trying to do one of these around the same time as the original post but somehow lost the build I had. Thank you for posting yours, time to steal it and mod it a bit for my tastes

I know someone said to take evil outsider earlier, but lv15 seems just right to me. If you keep a ghost touch xbow swap they are super easy kills and don't become a hassle till around the mid teens.

Edit: Forgot to ask ... was there a reason you went Lawful Good other than preference? (Divine Crusader Blessed Blades?)

Edit2: The FE:Construct in Primal was probably done after hitting 20 for epics since you can get construct from Harper as well. It's not needed as aberration till teens really at which point it can probably stay as aberration till Primal twist at 20.

LG is personal preferance/rp reasons. For full min/max true neutral is the best choice for pretty much anything that's not alignment restricted, since it takes the least damage from spells and champs.

I can't say my favored enemy setup is perfect; there are so many things to consider when looking at them; but I can say that Undead, Elemental, Abberation, Giant and Evil Outsider are great favored enemies to get; and I tried to get them at workable levels.
