If you were to build a tavern in the game, where would it be located, and what would its name be?

My tavern would be located in Evening Star near the gate to the Kings Forest and would be called the Huntsman's Lair. .... discretion would be our watchword. Lair: a secret or private place in which a person seeks concealment or seclusion. synonyms: hideout, hiding place, hideaway, refuge, sanctuary, haven, shelter, retreat

It'd be called "The Tavern", so whenever anyone said "i fancy a drink, let's go to the tavern" it'd be free advertising. As for where it'd be, it'd be an extraplanar venue with portals leading to it from a number of locations allowing the effect of a franchise with minimal leasing costs. There would be blackjack, and ladies of negotiable virtue.
I don't mean to come across as unsympathetic - but I am, so I do.

Across the Outer Planes, serving the needs of deceased adventurers in their respective afterlives, are branches of my tavern franchise - "Dun Quest Inn".

I'd set it up in 3BC, closer to the docks. I'd call it the "Sailor Drunker Faster".

Plus it would increase pit participation I'd think.

At the top of the old Marketplace Tent. Accessible only via the Chronoscope. I'd call it the Yesteryear's Tavern

I want DDO to be a better game. Those are my personal suggestions on: Ammunition, Archmage, Combat Stances, Deities, Dispel Magic, Epic Destiny Map, Fast Healing, Favor, Favored Enemy, Half-elf Enhancements, Monk Kensai, Monk Stances, Past Life, Potency, Potions, Ranger Spells, Summons, Tiered Loot.

People think it's ironic, and ironic is "inn"
Just a random, forgettable NPC doing things an NPC does
Things that NPCs do include, but are not limited to:

Having a gold goblet over my head to indicate availability of a quest
Having a catchphrase that never really catches on
Having various rewards that are generally not worth the trouble
    Wandering around randomly
Giving out obvious information if it wasn't obvious enough
Repeating the same lines over and over again

I'd probably set my tavern somewhere in Orchard of the Macabre, preferably near one of the crypts.

Where the tavern food is most likely not semi-rotten flesh of the dead that's still somewhat edible.

And where the drinks are most certainly probably not but still possibly stagnant water gathered in the upside-down skulls of the freshly unturned graves which may not be related to the said edible semi-rotten flesh of the buried.

I will name it: "The Ghasts' Dining Table"

I'd put mine at the bottom of that chasm in House K. Right under that ladder that we used to be able fall off of...

    great answers so far:

Put it on the little platform under the Plane of Night and call it "Snutch's Dutch Clutch"

    or

10' under the teleport fail spot over the marketplace "Falling Pears"

    • There and Beer Again
    • DejaBrew
