    Default Looking for an efficient 15-28 Bladeforged Sorc build

    Been away from the game since the late days of the 25 cap, but back at least partly, and it is past life time.

    Assuming I'm not willing to LR + 1 away the wasted Paladin level, what's an efficient build to do this with?

    The character in question doesn't have well developed Arcane or Primal spheres but that doesn't look like it will take long to fix now. (They have Fury 5, Fatesinger/Draconic 3, Shiradi/Avatar/Magister 0 but will probably fill both out in EN and EH runs). They do already have 11 Fate points and access to basically any Martial or Divine twists.
    I don't have a zerging problem.

    Just do a quick and easy 18 Sorc/2 Pally build. Exactly like the WF Sorc/pally of old you're probably familiar with. Max CHA, decent CON, some INT for Spellcraft, Repair, UMD. MAX, EMP, QUICKEN, HEIGHTEN, SPELL FOCUS EVO and (possibly Force of Personality, I like it for the CHA to Will saves instead of WIS) you're good to go. It's one of the easiest lives you'll have and a great build to farm some destinies too. With a Recon SLA easy to heal. Just blast away.

    Thanks, I'll put the Wizard active PL in the flex feat slot. I derped and didn't invest in Repair levelling to 15 (forgot that change) but I'm sure I'll manage fine this life.

    On heroic AP, how would you allocate them? I'm presently split between Fire Savant and EK, just to experiment with the EK stuff (and partly because the character has decent greatswords for levelling - heroic SOS, upgraded Cloudburst, eSOS and more). Definitely not wedded to that setup although I'll use it to 23 or so this time through just for something different.

    This is currently what Uurlock is planning (rough draft) for his upcoming BF Sorc lives, hopefully it will help.

    Also - level 24 gets to tier 1 (unbound) Thunderforged weapons - which will help spell power +++

    EK is great - but think your AP is better spent.

    Thanks for the enhancement advice. I'll start out suboptimal but fun, then respec the EK AP into something akin to what was last posted.

    I'd forgotten that the Bladeforged enhancements provided the solution to ASF that had motivated me to going into EK in the first place.

    I'd forgotten about them as well --- and EK has more as well (some just for shield ASF)

    A question.

    Assuming I go Sor18/Pal2 and build as suggested above (I will respec out of this EK stuff once it ceases being new, silly and fun), how accurate is this assessment of the EDs:

    'Blank' EDs (e.g. Fury of the Wild, destinies that offer no synergy with the build): ROFLstomp the easier EH content, pull my weight (but not be able to carry others) in the hardest EH and the easiest EEs, and feel like a dead weight in most EEs

    Magister: Feel strong in the hardest EHs and easiest EEs, struggle but pull my weight in medium EEs, and feel like deadweight in other EEs

    Draconic or Shiradi: ROFLstomp all EH and the easier EEs, pull my weight in the rest of EEs.

    that sounds about right, but ymmv - it all depends upon the player, toon, and the whims of the Gods. :P

    For what it's worth, at 15 (Sor14/Pal1) the EK version is *insane* at ripping through Gianthold and Orchard.

    Maximize off. Firewall, run into it, do the EK cleave, then (if off CD) the EK whirlwind/forceburst tier 5 ability, then drop a DBF if needed.

    SP seems to last forever doing that.


    Edit: I fully expect this build to start to suck by somewhere between 18-23.

    *chuckle* that was my experience as well... when I ran 11 Fighter 7 Wiz 2 Rog.... however for EH and lower you will rip through it. Happy Hunting!

    Helpful thread. I played around with the same build but he's currently being used as a mule. Need to dust him off and tweak his APs.

    Anyway, if going EK, why no PA/Cleave/GC chain? Do the EK abilities make up for it? I also imagine that the caster feats make for an easier time respeccing your APs (melee-based to full caster).

    I think I originally built my BF with the PA/Cleave chain, which is why I ask.
