    Lightbulb Build recommendations

    I just started messing around with the game again and found my level 13 to be missing all of his enhancements, but, he has a nice little collection of lesser hearts to burn! I hadn't played since 2009 or 10 so he just lingered. I'm thinking I can re-roll him once or twice using the hearts of oak that were provided by whatever updates happened in between then and now.

    He's Drow, LG, 28 point build with +2 tomes to every stat, because I'm poor =(. He's 6RNG, 6ROG, 1MNK right now. From what I can tell, I was going Tempest/TWF focused with full trap/lock skills/UMD. I apparently had a love of Kama/Shuriken because those are the only weapons he has on hand, save a pick/shortsword that both have wounding of puncturing (I know it's not as good anymore... alas.).

    I did experiment a little and re-bought some enhancements- He was able to get to 40ac naked/robed. Judging by what I'm seeing, I think I would have wound up at either 12 or 13 ranger, 1 or 2 monk, and 6 rogue.

    I mostly solo, but, would probably take a rogue-type role in groups. What could you recommend to respec, or even re-build him with the new enhancement/reincarnation system? What should I buy, what shouldn't I buy? I want to maximize DPS/AC/HP, and trapping/UMD skills.

    I'm just looking to see a few builds that I can get an idea of what they look like, if there's a certain level to take a certain class, etc. I'd like to maintain the unique flavor of the build while just seeing what others have done to get an idea of what an optimized build should look like now.

    Well if u take 2 more monk levels u might actually make a decent (not great) shuriken build out of it. Note that arrow of slaying works as usual with shuriken except it procs on all shuriken per hand allowing for 1-3 times 280 damage at level 12, or rather 15 in ur case. With 6 monk and decent wis u can proc 1-5 slayers even. At epics u can combine this with adrenaline for triple and later quadruple this damage.

    If u are interested say so i can tell u more. I already hear ppl screaming: fury and shuriken?! No way it has to be shiradi... well ive been playing a shuriken furyshotter for a while now and its just fine. Not to mention real fun. Fury and shiradi are epic destinies u get them at lvl 20 btw .

    Other than that the only synergy i see in ur level split is 2wf from ranger and twice the sneak damage from rogue.

    Is it just Arrow of Slaying that works with shuriken (all thrown weapons?) from AA line or do other enhancements work as well?

    The imbues only work with arrows; the special atks like Inferno Shot, Shattermantle Shot, etc. will work with any thrown or ranged weapon.

    Interesting suggestions! I may give those a shot!

    But would anyone know of a build similar to mine that I may look at? I'd like to see what people did with similar builds as well as what they DIDN'T do, to avoid any wasted points.

    Thanks for the suggestions! I may experiment with that on my other Ranger/Rogue! (he's ready to level to 10, and has hearts as well).

    One tip for your build is that the ML6 core enhancement in the Deepwood Stalker tree is the bee's knees. Good enough to be one of those "perpetually kept on cooldown" deals.

    Called Shot: Select a melee or ranged attack that deals extra damage and renders a target vulnerable to sneak attacks.

    Exposing Strike: Mele Attack: Performs a melee attack with +2[W], a +4 bonus to-hit, +1 to critical threat range, and +1 to Critical Damage Multiplier. On Damage: The target will become momentarily confused and rendered vulnerable to sneak attacks for four seconds as if affected by the bluff skill. (Cooldown 6 seconds)
    Sniper Shot: Ranged Attack: Performs a ranged attack with +2[W], a +4 bonus to-hit, +2 to critical threat range, and +2 to Critical Damage Multiplier. On Damage: The target will become momentarily confused and rendered vulnerable to sneak attacks for four seconds as if affected by the bluff skill. (Cooldown 6 seconds)

    That's a pretty interesting ability! I'm reading a lot, here, and I'm starting to wonder: Why do people go to 12 with ranger, when you gain no notable perks to do so? Isn't 11 a better cutoff to allow you to maximize on another class/free feat?

    Likely for the +10% offhand procs in the tempest tree.

    Actually the imbues work with shuriken as well. Just equip a bow once per login. Shhhhhhh! Secret! Only thing that doesnt work are the aa core enhancments.

    6 is by far the best cutoff. U only get impr prec shot after that. At least only noteable free feat. On most builds u can get this as a feat like any other just need 19 dex. Oh and evasion at 7 or something? But not an issue if u have 2 monk levels.
