OK, so I just leveled my 4th Character to level 15 and I'm stuck. Again
I have an Evasion Paladin, Caster Cleric, Tempest Trapmonkey and a Pale Master, all at level 15, where I always hit a wall.
Same story: I farm Delera's for the Voice, Red Fens for the Mire set, The Sovereign Relic for the Adamantine gear (Gorget), Coin lords for the upgraded Sora Kell set and weapons, Demon Sands for assorted stuff, Gianthold for the Dragon scales, Necropolis up to 3 for Undead and divine gear and then I hit a wall.
At this point I'm burnt on all the quests I own (premium) and I have gotten mostly all I want (or can get) from them anyways. And I just don"t know what to do for the last 5 levels. This pattern started back when MotUD came out and I stoned my then 9th level toon to level 16 and couldn't figure out what I was supposed to do in a level 20 area. So I parked him and started leveling up my next character...(Ding:15) and then my next (Ding), and then again... (Dink...15...) :$
Before anyone suggests this, let me just add that I play solo, and will always play DDO solo. I'm here because of the solo game.
I've grouped and raided to death in Evercrack and WoW, I've been a co-founder and an officer of a mid-level raiding guild in LotRO , I've done the PUG thing and the social scene and I'm just done with that aspect of these games. I don't want to give the wrong impression It's not because I think I'm elite or scared - I had a lot of fun with grouping in those other games and have even went through a 2 year or so phase where all I did was raid. It took over all my spare time, cut into my family time and I even called in sick on Xpac release days - it consumed me and caused me relationship problems. My virtual doll was more important to me then real life. So after my guild imploded (they always seem to do that) I swore off grouping and limited the amount of time I spend on these games. I multi-boxed for a while and I still do from time to time, but DDO is not particularly friendly to multi-boxing - in fact without /follow and a robust targeting system it's just no fun.
/TLDR; I play solo.
So what do you do at 15 if you don't pug or raid, cant multi-box effectively and wont join a guild? Shroud is out - can't get Greensteel (cleansed). Dragontouched armor sets are out and so is the prestige gear. All the really cool stuff (that fits nicely into my toons gear plan) after Gianthold is raid guarded. I don't like to power level through stuff just to level, if it starts to feel like a chore and it's just for pointless crappy loot - I'm out. I do like grinding for chances at named gear and doable upgrading, but I don't like grinding for carrots.
I have to choose my purchases carefully because 2 of my 4 favorite characters are on their own premium account, so I have to buy 3 of anything I buy (consequence of finding out the hard way that DDO is not really worth multi-boxing)
So... Any suggestions?
