You're sure putting all of your eggs in the DR basket.

You don't want Power Attack, Quicken, Extend (for your combat buffs) or anything?

Honestly, it seems like you won't be able to do anything but reduce some damage and that won't save you - and you won't be able to tank because you'll lose agro to a halfling commoner armed with a +1 wet noodle - and self-healing will be tough as your concentration won't prevent fail. You always fail when u need it most (you kinda need quicken as a combat caster IMO).

But...maybe I'm missing something (I have just come back from a break).

I have run a few WF FVS lives (mine were variations of the "Soul Survivor" build found here in the forums) and they are fun (ish) but this seems too far in one direction to me.

But again, I may be wrong.

Good luck with the next life in any case.

If you want a FVS life as fast as possible I's suggest an Evoker type.
Yes, it's a little slower earlier on - but lets face it early on is pretty fast with any class.
As soon as you get Blade Barrier you will quest circles around any WF Big Sword type.
Your blade barrier will fail on so many mobs that you'll constantly have to go back to clean up.
Maybe if you had 3 Sorc lives for Evoke DC...maybe... but I doubt it.
If you're trying to save regearing I think you'll find WF FVS is very gear intensive.

    (just my 2cp)

BONGO FURY - Ghallanda - Thingfish - Wizard, Diuni - Ninja, Gheale - Angel, Dullknife - Tank, Noodlefish - Gimp, Jaquaby - Treacherous and other gimps I won't cop to.

If by "cheese", you mean OP in heroic levels... well that ain't gonna work so well.

If you mean "cheese" as in flavorish and bad, then you're on the right track!

And if you only wanted to build a "wall" you should play with blocks. They'll be more fun to play with than that character imo.

Looks more like a speed bump than a wall.

    Heh that sounds just right.

OP, maybe this was just a troll attempt, maybe not but i'll just tell anyone who doesn't know why such a character is bad.

    Anyone can tank EH.
    This char cannot tank EE.
You don't wanna give up so much DPS unless it's worth it. (Hint: as a general rule and for all difficulties, it's not)

I think that sums it up.

I think you've gotta start with Provolone. Next, stack on some Dubliner Irish Cheddar. Top it off with some fresh Parmesan. Mmmm mm.

Be more like a sponge build to absorb damage, unsolo-able and not offer anything to a party except wasting all your enhancements for protections that you'd get as the average buff at the beginning of the quest anyways. I guess if you wanted to pike and park it at the start of the quest and be safe from random mobs that might (won't) come by while you're eating a sandwich or watching tv, it might work - but its not a very big sponge...

Could work with lots of guard gear procs, but probably still better off with a shield to gather up mobs.
Without the gear, this build lacks good offense.

Blade Barrier in heroic quests is very good if you build/gear with it in mind. Up to BB, id try to use the best twohanders i can reasonably get. Max Wisdom, Evocation DC, quicken, heighten, maximize-empower, and dont look back.

Look for Kinetic Lore, and Impulse gear these help to get the max benefit from the blades. Take implosion as your lvl9 spell (currently borked with members close to your aura) but still a decent instakill spell, takes down undeads and constructs too.

Your defenses in heroics is pretty good with good hps, good saves, and good self healing. For epics, it is more about not getting hit at all. Taking 300-20 damage on triple swinging mobs is not amazingly helpful.

I would personally choose Human or Elf for an evoker type FvS over WF.

If you want OPness, Almost Any WF Arcane will do. That is where cheesyiness starts. You'd have basically have no tradeoffs that would really matter.

Cheese is eaten by small things like Mice, mice in DDO is like Halfling, Level ups to con is like barbarian, seems you like pure, so Pure Halfling Barbarian Occult Slayer, lvl ups to Con and take the Healing Dragonmark Line, sometimes greatness comes in small packages, sometimes small packages are a let down, just ask my wife......

He'll have to slot Venezuelan Beaver Cheese somewhere if he wants to be effective in EEs, though
