    Default permadeath question

Do permadeath guilds do the whole min-maxing that everyone does now days, or do they go old school and play class roles? Or are class roles limited to role play guilds now?

Don't know much about permadeath guilds other than that one stream cordo did for tears that I watched.

To answer that kinduv indirectly, PD groups play with TEAMWORK as their primary tactic towards surviving.

Check your server subforum for an active PD guild and give it a try.

This for the most part. Some PD guilds run as a challenge, both for team play or soloing, some roleplay, some just do whatever with the caveat that you delete your character when you die. There pretty much is a PD form of every non-PD guild and play style out there now. So it is up to you what level of challenge you want.

We have a bit of both in our guild. If Im playing the cleric I am the primary healer, but everyone else still has a way, or multiple ways, to heal themselves if needed, and I can play other roles - so Im not just standing there waiting for red bars to decrease.
Advocating repeated nerfs in the name of "balancing the game" then complaining about how DDO is moving away from D&D, is a direct contradiction in logic - D&D 3.5 (what DDO is based on) is not a balanced game. We can either have a balanced clone MMO with homogenized classes, or we can have a D&D game. We cant have both.
