Default High Lords will host Fire on Thunder Peak and Temple of the Deathwyrm teaching raids

Our last teaching raid, Abbot, was a good time. CLICK HERE to read about it!

Next in our teaching raid series will be another double feature in Thunderholme: Fire on Thunder Peak and Temple of the Deathwyrm on Saturday, June 21 at 8:00pm EST!

As with all events in this series, these raids are for players newer to the raiding scene or players that are looking to learn raids better. First timers welcome! Dbags not welcome. Please have sound and be willing and able to follow instructions.

The goal is to welcome newer players into the raiding scene, to teach people how raids work, to get players more comfortable with raids, and to enhance the Sarlona community.

If you are new to FTP and TOTD, you will need to flag by slaying two red named bosses in The Ruins of Thunderholme wilderness area. You will need to have access to the Shadow Under Thunderholme adventure pack. Slaying Dagan The Death Knight will flag you for FTP and slaying Sarva Ballistrae The Cult of the Dragon Emissary will flag you for TOTD.

Dagan and Sarva are not ordinary slayer zone bosses. They can be very tough and I recommend equipping a spell absorption item like an upgraded Pale Lavendar Ioun Stone or Scarab of Spell Absorption for the Sarva fight. You can find a map with pathways to these bosses at the above Ruins of Thunderholme link.

You will find the entrance to the ruins through The Thunder Peaks public zone, which is accessible across the bridge in northeast Eveningstar. Before heading into the slayer zone, talk to the 2 NPC quest givers in Thunder Peaks, then talk to them again after defeating the bosses and they will grant you the raids.

Usually all spaces are spoken for by the time of the raid, so reserve your spot ahead of time! If you would like to reserve a space in this Saturday's event, please contact me in game on Gingerspyce.

Thanks for all the support and special thanks to DDOCast and DDO Chronicle for mentioning our events. We hope to see you in raids soon!

    Love,
Gingerspyce and The High Lords of Malkier

PS. I was a guest on this week's DDOCast, where we talk about U22 and leading PUGs. You can check out the Episode 340 podcast HERE!

    Smile Great runs!!

We had 3 people that were new to or still learning FTP and TOTD. Both great smooth runs!

The FTP crew shows off with some celebratory spell action after defeating the red dragons on the mountain summit!

The TOTD crew poses in front of one of the dwarven statues after defeating the shadow dracolich!

Work and vacation is going to occupy my next several weekends, so there wont be any more teaching raids until July 20th. But I am happy to announce that for the first time in our teaching raid series we will be including the Titan raid in The Restless Isles when we return! So get flagged and I'll post details on the forum in a few weeks. Thanks again for coming everyone and we'll see you soon!

I'd like to thank Gingerspyce, the High Lords, and everyone else who came out for these runs. This was a great way to get a peek at these new(er) raids.

For anyone considering joining one of these runs in the future, I strongly recommend you try it. The runs are low-pressure, done at a relaxed pace with explanations along the way. Even if you've pugged the raid a time or two, you'll probably learn some things you didn't know. If you aren't sure if you'll like raiding, what better way to find out? Maybe you'll enjoy it and want to go back, and even if you decide it isn't for you after all, at least you got to experience some content you might not otherwise have seen.

Thanks again, guys. It was awesome.

Much respect and thanks to the High Lords for hosting teaching raids. It's good for the health of the game and for the health of Sarlona.

    Good leadership guys (girls).

I hope to make some of your raids soon. Keep up the good work.
