    Default suggestion for next update

1.) Fix the bag/bank debacle. Let us have bags open along with the bank. Exploiters are not out problem. They are Turbines problem. Please do not punish all of us, or decrease the quality of the game because of a few bad apples.

2.) Do something about random loot. 99.9% of it is useless. Give us better prefixes and suffixes. and make loot gen something that could at least potentially be useful.

3.) Update all types of crafting. Give us more cannith options. Add new stuff to GS crafting, alchemical crafting, sora kell etc.

4.) add some new gear to cannith challenge trade ins.

5.) Do something about login issues.

6.) Start listening to players suggestions. Some of them may not have the best ways of saying what they want/need, but that doesn't mean their ideas are bad.

7.) Perhaps, if you can squeeze it in, add some lower - mid level content. I'd like to run some new stuff between about levels 7-14. It's a boring range, at least in my opinion.

    edit:

    8.) Improve hireling AI

Thanks for reading Turbine. I'm not trying to be a negative nancy, a doom sayer, rude, or any of that garbage. These are just some things I think a lot of players would like to see. I would gladly forgo a standard update to see these issues dealt with.
Also, any response to this thread by a mod/dev would be welcomed and greatly appreciated.

Default This might not be the post but not sure how to start a new one

What would really be nice is if TB, fixed more than they broke with updates.

Why did they nix Stand and be judged, what people wine because their characters do not have it.
TB seems to find more ways to make Bosses immune to everything Why?
You all really think that Stand and Delivered is over powered when it only had a small chance to start with. Such bright ideas give players something that give them an edge then take it away why.

What is it with TB and clerics? They seem to be making clerics as nannies, no wonder it is hard to find clerics and there is so many BYOH, TB has taken the fun away from being a cleric, turn undead is about worth less but they are made to take it for enhancements,

Now why does it suck well lets say I tested it out at level 28 I ran a level 12 quests and wow turn undead did not turn one and destoried only one

New items are set more for casters where are the items for clerics other than turn undead

Exploiters are EVERYONE'S problem, not just Turbines. They destroy the game economy removing wealth-motivated players reasons to log on, and contribute heavily to player attrition making rare things plentiful and removing loot-motivated players reasons to play. Sure it's a minor pain to have to gather up after you close the bank or move things out of your bag first, but I think it's a relatively reasonable fix to a problem I'm not entirely sure can be coding given part of the 'problem' is manipulating the actual connection between user and server from what I've read around the net and twitter.

I get quite a bit of useful things from random lootgen. And from a design concept from my days as a dm as my point of view, every single thing that drops being awesome is a bad idea. Loot you don't want can generate you money either from venders or the ah (ti's astonishing how often I think something is useless but it sells on the ah to someone with wildly different gear needs) or deconning into essences to either sell or use (once deconnign is fixed). A lot of people are complaining right now that random lootgen is BETTER than the named gear as well.

I'd love to see more Cannith options, but I think the other types of crafting are fine as they are.

I'd love to see them fix this, however I've seen first hand that the core issues causing it are NOT the same for everyone, and therefor doubt it's 'easily fixed'. The preloader works fine for me and some of my friends. It does NOT fix the issue for my husband and some of my other friends. My son and still more peeps I Know outside the game single login without the preloader at all. Whatever is going on is not simple.

THey do listen. Otherwise guild pricing wouldn't be about to be reduced with refunds, the new cov thing they posted recently, and many other changes over the years. But they have coding, licensing, and game longevity issues to consider that we as the player base don't have to when we think "This would be a great idea!"

I like new content at all levels, but can already hear the mass rage that we have enough content at lower levels. Back to listening to their playerbase, they have been pretty loud about wanting more endgame content and tired of lower level stuff in general. Personally I think it's quest levels 11 - 14 only that need help, 7-10 have a lot of fun and entertaining quests as it is now. Or are you a free to play player without packs? This could be a perspective disagreement.

They keep trying, but hirelings keep proving the limit of our ability to make computers think. Might want to be a bit more specific though, what annoys you about the hirelings behavior might not be what annoys someone else. Personally I'd be happy if they just stopped randomly running to the end of the dungeon and back for no apparent reason aging everything. I don't mind occasionally having to click the button to remind it to heal me or cast a spell if I don't have the ENTIRE dungeon population trying to eat me like something outta Day of the Dead zombie hordes.

Default my 2 cents on new updates

MORE PIRATES!!!! YES!!! Thats what we need.. all future updates should be pirate based, continuing the tradition of D&D being a game about pirates. Oh how I long for the days of crawling around the decks of a ship slaying pirates and yelling arggggghhh me hearty. Busting out my copy of the Monster Manual and gazzing upon picture after picture of pirates.

***!!!! DDO is becoming more like Pirates of the Caribbean.....waiting for Johnny Depp to make an appearance, maybe doing a little narration in his Jack Sparrow voice. Gonna need to change the name of the game in order to be more honest with the players to Some Dungeons & a few Dragons

If you guys cant come up with any new stuff on your own thats worth playing, then just dust off EOTB and Menzo and give us an updated version of classics we love

Players have been asking for years for 3bc to be improved. Turbine has done that. They have taken our suggestions to heart and made some great changes to the pack. I don't understand why this would bother you.

Wrong. Turbines solution to game problems has historically, at least since I have been playing, been to make the game less user friendly, and decreasing quality of life. Inventory management has also historically been an issue in this game. Look at the history of threads on suggestions about being able to name bags, decide what does and doesn't go into bags etc. If Turbine devoted as much resources to fixing these issues as they did to making updates that more often than not, people aren't even happy with. I'm sure they could find a solution.

I didn't suggest that everything that drops be awesome. But it would be nice to periodically see something of value. And, when has plat had actual value in this game? Most stuff that I would be willing to pay huge amounts of plat for is bind on acquire anyway. For my last 4 or 5 lives, The only thing I grab out of chests is plat, and guild renown. And the only end rewards I take are guild renown. I don't even bother taking whatever else is in there because:
    1: it's useless
2: I no longer need plat. The amount of effort it takes to sell the stuff isn't even worth it. Like I said above, plat is useless in this game. Turbines solution to this was to introduce AS, which really made plat even more useless. Especially since it doesn't drop in chests, and virtually the only way to get it is to buy it from turbine. Even when people do get something nice out of loot gen, they're more likely to sell it on AS exchange that plat exchange. Why? Cause plat is useless. Now if turbine were to introduce new vendors in the game that sell stuff that players actually want or need, it may give more incentive to acquire plat, and loot all useless lootgen to see for plat.
    3: It clogs my inventory.
4: I generally don't need essences either. If I do, It doesn't take long to trade in my greaters for enough lessers to get what I need.
5: People are saying random lot gen is better than named??? Now that's a serious issue!

Again, they need to devote more resources to this. It's a huge turnoff for new players. And a huge turnoff for old timers as well. It creates a first impression to people. It sends the message that this game has poor programming. If you owned a business and were going to meet prospective clients would you not make sure that you and your place of business were presentable? Or would you slack on hygiene and avoid keeping your place clean. This is a no brainer...

Aye, they do listen, from time to time, but they shirk us far more often than they listen. I get that they have to make money, they are a business after all. The lest they could do is respond to threads where people have legitimate questions. Just like in the OP. I asked for a response to see if any of them at least read this thread... Nothing...

Aye, probably perspective. Though I have felt that the last few updates have largely only catered to the player base that runs levels 20-28 (epics) Not all players run epics. Me and my friends, and a lot of people I know in game do 1-20, and TR. I'm not asking for a huge update to this level range, but occasionally throwing in a new quest or two would be nice for the players who don't run epics.

I don't buy it. I really think they haven't done squat with hireling AI. I've watched mob AI improve drastically since I began playing, which I'm fine with. If they can improve mob AI, the same stuff should apply to hirelings.

Aye! I'm a huge fan of Cannith Crafting. I use it often, and on every life. I was a little disappointed with how long it took to get my crafting levels high enough to be able to craft anything worthwhile, but it surely paid off! Problem I have is that beyond about level 14 or so, it's not as usefull. For weapons its still great all the way up to 20. Though I certainly wouldnt mind seeing some new prefixes/suffixes added, or ways to alter things. I thought it would be cool to be able to switch things up and if you get your levels high enough, be able to craft prefixes as suffixes and vice versa. I'd like to have a holy burst of axiomatic burst

1, 5, 6, and 7 yes 2-4 no 8 hell no delete those darn things entirely

Haven't cared for crafting in any game since SWG and I think hirelings are the worst thing they ever did to DDO especially for grouping.
