I added as many amenities as I could but there weren't enough hooks for all of the available amenities. Will no ship have enough hooks for all of the available amenities, which was the case under the previous airship system, or are some of the new amenities made redundant by the large hook amenities like the Requilary IV? I don't have a full list of what all of the amenities do at this point.
This is not strictly true, while there are not enough hook points to have everything you can buy, there are enough to give all available buffs as several small hooks are combined under one large hook. With the largest ship i was able to populate every buff along with a couple of duplicate due to the aforementioned some smalls replicated in large and still had one large option empty.

Under the old system you could buy the best plat ship (3rd Ship), then upgrade from that to the best AS ship (3rd Ship), if that doesn't work for the new ships (which it didn't last time I checked) then how are you supposed to Perform that upgrade?

Are you meant to Downgrade to 3rd AS ship and then Upgrade from there?

Well that would be an even dumber move than having an empty main deck and amenities which don't provide any benefit. Let's face it - the only reason for having guild XP is so you can gain access to better ships, and if now all it takes is access to daddy's credit card then a level 1 newly created guild with one member can have the same facilities as a guild that has existed since day and got to the top the hard way. Why not just announce that guilds are redundant and there is absolutely no reason to socialise anymore?

If this is true then it is a fine example of pay-to-win and a massive degradation of the game.

Guild level affects buff duration IIRC, no idea on the numbers though.

That just gets you the ship. The buffs still have guild level requirements. So you can pay a bunch of money to have a low level guild with a giant empty ship if you really want to.

    Apparently so.

Personally I think it would have been much better (and simpler) to have a single ship type, sold for platinum, with optional purchase of additional spaces via AS. The number of optional spaces would then be limited by the size of the (platinum) ship but would carry over to the next platinum ship upgrade. However, I don't suppose they'll ever change it to work that way.

For the old amenities in the cargo hold, how much of their behavior has been changed to match the new buffs? Specifically:
    1) Are they granted by the buff bar?
    2) Do they expire on death?
    3) What duration do they have?

Can anyone who's tried them on Lammania answer?

Default XP shrine will be too much money IMHO

The costs for the xp shrine in astral shards is too high. Small guilds are going be hard-shipped at getting most of the prices on the stuff. I hope that the costs are only placeholder on Lamania or you are going to loose players who can not get major wanted items for playing.

My understanding is they have not had their functionality changed at all.
If you want them you have to go down to the cargo hold and click on them individually every hour and they still count down everywhere and disappear on death.

I thought from the picture in the first post of the Concert Hall that we would be able to interact with the instruments. On mine there are halflings playing them (who have the option to speak, but just ignore me). I'm wondering if something went wrong, or if we will be able to play the instruments, or what is happening with this.

(It's a silly little, useless thing I'm inquiring about, but I was looking forward to having fun with that.)

    Default Pet/Buff Bug?

Bug: the pet can be buffed, but they seem to disappear after about 10 minutes in a dungeon. I need to test further, if the spell buff I added - caused the ship buffs to disappear when they expired - but the pet buffs did not last very long.
