Appropos of nothing (this is obviously not directed at any individual either working at Turbine or here on the forums. Obviously. Right?), I thought I'd share something that bothers me.
I find that having someone tell me that they think I'm lying to be insulting. I don't like when someone says that I'm lying to them. I don't tend to lie to people (aside from my kids - they still think that Santa is real and I'm going to keep up that lie for another few years), so I don't like when someone says that I'm lying to them.
But you know what I find even more insulting? Being lied to. I really don't like being lied to and I find it INCREDIBLY insulting when someone lies to me - especially when they do it right to my face and then make it blatantly obvious that they were lying. Like when a vendor says that they're not doing something and I can see them doing it right in front of me and then they continue to say that they're not doing it. That's astonishingly insulting and I really don't like it. It's insulting that they're lying to me and it's insulting that they think that I'm so very stupid that I won't even notice that they're lying. I don't like that.
Posted in off-topic because this obviously doesn't have anything to do with Turbine or DDO. Obviously.
