    Default Let's make a story?

So, a sudden idea just popped into my head, and I want to know how many people would follow up with the idea.

The idea is for one person to start a story (Like, a paragraph or two, DnD-esque, "You walk into a dark cave-blahblahblah" and all) and someone else would just take it from there, add in a small section, and watch the entire story go out of control in the most wackiest of ways imaginable.

Does it seem like a good idea or a terrible, chaotic, probably-will-never-work-idea-that-should-not-be-brought-up-again-because-of-a-lack-of-coordination idea?

A half-orc is having a really bad day, and decides to get a cold drink at the Hammersmith's in over in House Deneith. Once his eyes adjust to the dimly lit interior, he is suddenly grabbed by an agitated young drow elf. "SEWERS! All they'll talk about is sewers! We have a REAL problem! THE FROGS!" She drags him outside before he can complain when they are best by...

As soon as the young Drow Elf drags the Half-Orc outside, they are overcome with the sight that lays before them: Frogs. Frogs everywhere, there are various reactions to the current "disaster", some people trying to tiptoe their way across the amphibian swarm, a witch or two gathering them for who-knows-what, and they could swear they saw a few Deneith Mercenaries actually being ordered to drives the Frogs back.

While at first glance, this appears to be a problem that could easily be resolved with one or two Fireballs, maybe a Cleave or seven...if there weren't adventurers trying to get rid of them using the said methods already. Despite the swinging of blades and the casting of spells, the Frogs keep advancing, none of them injured...and ribbiting their way towards the Marketplace...

The drow tells the half-orc, "What we need are the frogs' natural enemies... snakes! We have to recruit the mariliths and yuan-ti. Oh! I haven't introduced myself. My name is Bob. Bob the drow barbarian."

"I'm Nancy. I'm an artificer with House Cannith," replies the half orc. "How are we supposed to recruit demons and monsters to fight off frogs?"

Unseen nearby, a roguish Halfling skulking in the shadows murmurs to himself, "Frogs. Why does it always have to be frogs?"

Turning away with a last glance over his shoulder at the chaos erupting in the streets, the rogue disappears back into the shadows.

The young drow girl climbs up the half-orcs back, muttering to herself 'you'll make a fine steed in this mess, now we have to stop them from reaching the market! They'll ruin the economy if they buy everything! There are just too many! And they may eat the merchants when they run out of goods! Where did the halfling go? I thought they eat this things..."

The half-orc wonders how his day turned to this, and faces the ribbiting tides. Somewhere in the middle he sees a monk all dressed in green, cackling merrily as he somehow creates frog after frog...

Meanwhile, in the Tower of the Twelve...

A fashionably-robed Dwarf seems to be searching all over for something of his, a passing Human wizard amusingly inquires: "A jolly good day, old chap, what seems to be the matter with ye? Ye seem like you're ready to shake the heavens and catch the stars that fall from it in desperation."

The Dwarf turns around and answers. "Well, good fellow, I seem to have misplaced my newest creation, you see, I don't suppose you've seen it somewhere? A viridian sceptre, with a wooden frog carved into its top? It would truly be dreadful if someone mad should happen to grab a hold of the magical device."

The human tilts his head, trying to remember. "I can't say that I have, old boy, but may I ask, what does your newest invention capable of performing? Perhaps conjure up flames from the heavens? Sprout pillars of earth from the depths of Khyber?"

"Frogs." The Dwarf casually replies. "It makes Frogs."

"Frogs? Good gods, man, for what possible threat a few frogs could pose-"

"Not just any frogs, no sir, these specially-bred amphibians are resistant to most forms of damage and immune to most of the known magics! Why, in the wrong hands, it could give the wielder the power to throw the entirety of Stormreach into chaos! First they'll eat our supplies, then they will consume us! Then they will hop off to consume the other races, the Sahuagin, the Giants, the Kobolds, the Elementals, and even the Dragons right in their Dungeons!...Anyhoo, I've been searching for the accursed thing since lunch."

"Have ye checked your other set of robes?"

"Ah, that must be the case, after all, if there truly was someone who managed to steal the sceptre and unleash an amphibian apocalypse on us, I'm sure we would have heard of it by now."

The two individuals laugh heartily and continue on with their daily activities.

Meanwhile, back at the site of the mentioned amphibian apocalypse...
