I was pointed to it last night, the massively one anyway. I almost choked because it initially read that the level cap was coming out in U21. Someone must have poked the author since it was updated by the time I checked again today (thought maybe I had drank too much scotch).

Just a little LOLWUT in my day.

Because the update will coincide with the game's anniversary later this month, Turbine's come up with a new way to hand out presents. Players will get to collect cards with nostalgic artwork; the cards can be combined into pairs to create a prize. Figuring out the right card combinations and trading between players should keep the community busy and buzzing for the celebration. Ten new items have been created as rewards in addition to other goodies, and the team is quite excited to see how players take the update as a whole. -Massively
Ok, this sounds really cool. 10 new items created for the card game? Or was this referring to the loot from the raids and stuff?

I commented on that yesterday and the author of the article changed it. Now it says "Past update 21..."

I hope the "Past Update 21" sticks for a while level 30 Iconic and Epic TRs are currently not worth it. Unless Turbine is trying to sell more Epic Otto boxes.

Very nice to see DDO in the press which mean finally some marketing

I also came across an article on https://www.tentonhammer.com/ddo/upd...utm_medium=rss
    * We have collectable bags, hell even hireling folders, but can I have that 6-pack for my potions please?
    * Having already a past life on the dieng EU servers, I rerolled here and started from scratch as I like the game and the community, so lets see what awaits me here

hold your horses, stop the presses!

Don't sell the boar skin before you actually shot it turbine.

There are some extreme concerns on the loot department. lv 20-23 items still outperform the new loot, some of it is outright broken.

Please read our concerns on the Lamania forum and fix the issues stated there.
Do not make the same mess of things like update 19.

The only take home message I got from that was "Jumping Puzzles". Ugh. This is an MMO, not a platformer.

Also, damn, Thunderholme just sounds straight-up copy and paste of Moria. There's even a "light and mirrors" puzzle quest in LOTRO's Moria. Will there also be a way to travel between zones by jumping down a really long well?

There is one (singular), entirely optional jumping puzzle in the U21 Raids. It is but one path that can be chosen.

Please leave the jumping puzzles to guild warts 2 please. Here on ddo you guys can't get ladders and lag right. No one likes loot lotteries or lag lotteries if their latency will let them land where they wish.

Nonsense! Jumping Puzzles are great. In fact, I'm eagerly awaiting the day the Pit becomes an epic quest.

This doesn't bother me one bit. When reading the Hobbit, I always thought a D&D adventure based on Moria would be awsome. Since I have no desire to play LOTRO, I am thrilled to have a similar version over here.

Good Job Turbine....now about that loot.....

If you don't want to do the jumping puzzle, choose a different room. There are 6 total, and I believe one of them is just endless killing of badguys.

I like Shroud because it's one puzzle.

The entire raid is a series of puzzles. It's kind of like making one raid an entire escort mission.

Few things in aggregate is fine, but making everything one flavor is just tedious.

I really hope that once people get everything down to a science we're talking about quick 30-45 minutes tops. Because right now it's one flavor of ice cream for over an hour. And that's just not fun.

/agreed, I hate jumping puzzles myself. This is DDO, not Mario 3D! Besides, we don't have mushroom(s) power...

Please label the entrance of the puzzle room with RED neon lights saying, "DO NOT ENTER IF YOU DO NOT LIKE JUMPING OR HAVE MEDICAL CONDITIONS RELATED TO HEIGHT OR CLAUSTROPHOBIA"

I love Mario style challenges, pity some want to stamp them out entirely.
