    Default The Marksman (a shuricannon/monkcher blend) 11/6/3

    Character designed to be EE viable (and with enough skill, to solo EE, if that's your bag). Shuriken are the main source of dps/crowd control due to the rate of fire using Imp precise shot/imp paralyzing and the ability to backpedal. Bursts are available either with 10k stars or bow/manyshot for extreme effect.... I have to say it is very pleasing to crit for 5800 on a base 1d2 weapon 3 or 4 times in a row in one volley. Especially considering that is with manyshot and 10k stars on timer.

    I havent played a monkcher before this but have played the shuricannon (shiradi based ranged for those unfamiliar) and wanted a more hefty burst dmg (that I have some semblance of control over) avatar.

    I have discovered the AA toggles working on shuriken so the enhancements below are not optimized in the AA enhancement tree. Readjust and play according to your preferences.... I have noticed the 2 forms of paralyzing rolling independently from toggle and weapon.


    Character limitations/drawbacks:

    -No abundant step and slower run speed than shuricannon make kiting more dangerous.

    -More complicated than shuricannon to use to full effectiveness ... but this is what I was going for because I'm not bored with it. It does tend to make the fancy footwork more problematic though.

    -Limitations to DPS longevity are all centered around mana. Shuriken do not proc the temp spell points of the longbow with soul magic etc.

    Shuriken are coded as ammunition not weapons, (no crit profile so the crit enhancements don't work), so it makes sense that the imbues work.

    Pretty clever to get around the -100% double shot manyshot/10K stars penalty with shuriken extra shots though.

    Converted the toon to elf for elven grace and went fully dex based. Makes a fairly large difference. Downside being the shuriken do a little less dmg and have to spend a feat on shuriken expertise. It really all depends on your playstyle. You can rock the shuriken most of the time utilizing 10k stars and save the unbridled manyshot for bosses or you can rock a pinion the majority of the time and only switch to shuriken when on timer to work around the penalty. I've been doing the latter recently so the benefits of being an elf outweigh that of drow.

    It has the added benefit of garnering more mana from soul magic and moonbow too.

    Taking out resilience and bulwark and adding in Shuriken expertise and precision is a net increase in DPS (especially considering the elven ability to negate 3% dodge) ... on a reflex build with monk and pally levels ... the saves are good even without the feats (or even a CHA item) so the loss isn't even felt.
