    Default Tome of Fate +2 confirmed drop location

    I'm not sure if this is old news or not (the old thread at https://www.ddo.com/forums/showthrea...y-drop-in-game only has +1s), but I can confirm that Tomes of Fate +2 drop in Caught in the Web on Epic Normal difficulty. Their binding status is "Binds to Account on Acquire". Here is a screen shot showing my lucky party member's treasure in the chest:

    I think you just gave everyone a reason to run Caught in the Web again!

    I only wonder if this is a 1/10 000 chance for the raid drop or a 1/100 000 000 for an extremely lucky store drop.

    edit: numbers are obviously approximate, as in, i haven't the foggiest. I know it isn't common, though.

    I can second this- while I don't have a screenshot, I've had one drop in my name in an EN CitW in a guild raid. Put it up for roll.

    I've had a +2 drop in FOT, I don't remember if it was normal or hard.

    Do you know if the team member boosted the chest, loot gem, etc?

    A word of caution: I tried one of these out on lamannia once, on a toon that has all EDs capped. It didn't give me any additional fate points. I don't think it does anything if you have the maximum obtainable fate points. That could have been a bug though, it may not work that way anymore.

    Well, if you have the maximum obtainable fate points, then you've already used a +2 Tome of Fate.

    I want one.

    BTW, what is the highest combo of twist slots with a +2 tome, can you do 4,4,2?

    Oh and wiki has this on Epic Reincarnation = Possible increase to Twist of Fate point,
    Hows that work?

    Until epic TR fate points are fixed, this is what you can do.

    Interesting... I've stopped buying these as the +2 are pointless convenience (just allow a better twist slightly sooner) and the +1 are 100% pointless on 99.99% of all builds ever made (how many people will give up a whole twist slot just to have a 4-3-0 twist?) Now when they get the ETR fate point thing going there will be some niche uses perhaps. For people who are nuts and are willing to ETR what is it 36 times?

    Fawngate picked up 4 / 3 / 1 awhile back.

    She had 18 from ed farming.
    She had ddo store +2 tome of fate
    She has 15 epic past lives = 3.75 fate points
    Needs 5 more for epic completionist (round about path)
    Current total = 23 fate points

    Twist one to tier four = 10 fate points
    Twist two to tier three = 9 fate points
    Twist three to tier one = 3 fate points
    Total needed for 4/3/1 = 22 fate points
    Past lives needed to get there = 8

    Ideal Twist Set up.
    Epic Completionist gaining 12 epic past lives and gaining 3 fate points
    Full ED farming to level 5 including an upcoming divine ED = 60 total levels = 20 fate points
    Tome of Fate +2 = 2 fate points
    Total Fate Points earned = 25 fate points

    Twist one to tier four = 10 fate points
    Twist two to tier three = 9 fate points
    Twist three to tier one = 3 fate points
    Twist four to tier one = 4 fate points
    Total needed for 4/3/1/1 = 26 fate points spent
    Past lives needed to get there = 4 (enough to fully upgrade two toggles)

    ;;;;

    Further confusing the whole thing, is whether ED levels will increase to level 10 as I predict without any proof from devs.

    Add 60 more total ED levels = 20 more fate points.
    Fully farmed out ED (including new divine ED) = 40 fate points.

    4/4/4 twist requires 10+14+18 fate points =42 fate points
    (looks like a +2 tome of fate helps here too)

    4/4/4/1 twist requires 46 fate points
    Epic Completionist gaining 12 epic past lives and gaining 3 fate points
    Past lives needed to get there = 4 (enough to fully upgrade two toggles)

    ;;;

    What will adding more epic destinies level 6 thru 10 do to farming epic past lives?

    I am estimating that I can gain 2 epic past lives while at the same time raising all ed of a sphere to max.
    {Absolutely no proof, just hunches.}
