I rarely if ever have anything negative to say about the direction of the game. I still love some of the items being rolled out in 2014 I think they will be very welcome among the players. But the over dumping of loot (uber loot) such as +5 plus tomes +10 ability items that are now considered junk. The easiness at which uber named items fall such as the ridiculous drop of named items from Caught in the Web with the free boxes. All of this gives little incentive for players to run quests except for looking for the quickest way to grab loot.
Yes most players I will grant you want mega uber loot and that's what they may complain about if they don't get it as fast as they want. However the producers and developers have to resist the urge to through so much CANDY at the players just because its easy to do. DDO producers and developers have to continue to fight to look at ways to improve content, have players experience as much of the quest as possible without jumping up a pillar (aka Maze of Madness) to bypass everything just to get to the end chest. These are the things that will kill the game, players once completely decked out will stand in front of the marketplace bank on display and glitter not needing or wanting to run anymore quests because there is nothing they need. Then they will eventually stop playing because they have nothing left to play for.
Please rethink the direction of massive loot dumping without any real challenge.
