    Default colors of the queen

    Can we get the epic PL feat looked at, for the cost, I expected it to be just like double rainbow, just on a timer rather then constant. yet, what I got was nothing of the sort. not sure how many effects colors got, but its either a seperate list, or only able to access a small porton of double rainbow, and usually the worthless ones.


    effects I've seen
    autumn harvest (most likely t1, since it only healed like 30hp)
    poison (Seems to be 1d10 dmg)
    dragon fire (2d6/3sec fire for 10 sec)
    inferno (1d6/3sec fire for 10 sec)
    crushing blow (6sec stun, one of the most useful abilities that seem to tick once in a blue moon)
    severed limb/leg (attack speed decreaes/movement decrease)
    light damage (1d6/2sec for 10sec)

    there were some effects that seemed to activate, but to no effect
    there was a force explosion similiar to crystals exploding in challanges, just on a smaller scale. but it did nothing
    seem an electrical field similiar to lightning motes spell. but it did nothing


    was using an xbow, nto sure if it suffers the same fate of double rainbow where only spells benefit from the spellpower, but even with spellpower, if these are really the effects then it shouldn't be at a 7% chance. a guarrenteed once every 30-10sec doesnt seem overpowered at all with any of these.

    I've seen otto's irresistible dance a fair bit. It's got to be irresistible I think, since stuff on EE would probably save otherwise.

    It can be hard to tell what is going on melee, but I do see a fair number of FtS procs.

    I feel like I've seen better damage numbers that what you describe, and I wonder if it is tied to level somehow.

    Class Wizard - Starting Level 15

    Effects I've seen above what is described above...

    1K Light Damage
    600 Poison Damage
    Sticky Goo on the ground
    Strength/Constitution Damage

    I've seen the explosion effect like the crystal that did nothing but looked cool on all the scorpions it hit

    Sure that isnt the otto's whistler? thats an irresistible dance, and can proc on multiple targets if you got improved precise shot.

    I've seen FtS proc with double rainbow, but not with colors, if they are the same list, then maybe im just getting bad rolls.

    as for the damage, the highest I've seen proc is 30, which was that dragon fire below (guessing it was merely a crit cause the next damage and all remaining ticks were all below 15) and this is on a lvl 21 artificer (using an repeating xbow. spelll power is nearly 200 for all elements) at first I thought I was getting a fairly constant sonic damage for about 40-60 till I realized it was my bracers doing that damage and once I took them off, I was barely seeing any extra damage aside from what is mentioned above, so you sure the FtS isnt from other gear you got? I've heard that double rainbow only uses spellpower when it is a spell that activates it and from my usages I'd have to agree since my damage numbers dont compare well with what shiradi casters have said the damage for them is, but havent used a caster to test that out, but you'd think that they would've changed it for a feat that allowed both melee, ranged, and spells to proc it.

    double rainbow's most common proc for me is deadly spider poison, which can stack, usually dont notice it till it manages to stack up to 3, which then it does like 200dmg, but I havent see that proc once with colors.

    yea, never seen that kind of damage proc, even with the normal double rainbow (course I do get those poison traps underneath me which do like 200-300 damage to me), so.... guess the xbow bolts are allowing spellpower to apply, but even then. I havent seen any 100-300 damage proc either. so dunno.

    I have also seen grease and the occasional trap being laid. The force explosion (like the kobold thingy) works fine for me but the lightning explosion does zip

    New ones seen tonight:

    Grease - which was funny as it was on a Red Named Not effected by it
    Mummy Rot - No Healing Curse popped up on a Missing just before it died. Sure enough Mummy Rot from a Magic Missile.

    The damage seems to be effected by spell power, so much stronger on a wizard than say a fighter.

    Some other effects I have seen
    Tsunami
    flame strike
    comet fall
    web, land mine
    command
    flesh to stone
    Some kind of elemental burst effect that hit for elec acid fire and ice damage at once
    sunburst
    greater(?) dispel magic land mine
    finger of death
    prismatic ray, single target (not entirely sure if that's what it was, but they seemed to get the teleported to another dimension instakill effect)
    Summon animal, fox, bird, squirrel, frog (though this might have been a single target mass frog effect, not sure)

    Feedback, evil damage light damage, elemental damages, sonic dam, mass frog on 1 target, hellball, prismatic colors /random from blind stone to insta kill

    Dnt crushing blow, ottos whistler, tsunami, no fail equake, kobo barrel, exhaust, mumy rot, curse, bebilith venom, spider poison, random dots
    quench, spike growth, grease, some debuff that increases damage when you hit enemy, nail chewing maggots, arcane blast, festering wound, howlering quill, disembered leg /kinda like cripple, every light casts a shadow, shadows cannot exist without light, web line trip,
    a mine /no idea what it does

    And many many more

    for the record, my melee toon with little to no spellpower at all got several times light dmg of up to 900dmg. Also got few irresistible dances and the banishing thing from prismatic ray and flesh to stone. And the passive is an extra 10hp. Overall my opinion from lvling 1-21 is totally worth it, at least 1 stack

    I've had a lot of the poison damage, all hitting for about 300 damage (though I stun nearly everything, so take all damage with a grain of salt)

    The electric motes I've had proc, but only seems to happen when everything is dead so there's no way for me to know if it's actually working.

    Had I want to say either the inferno or magma surge DOT, don't remember what it was ticking for exactly.

    I've had a lot of the random elemental procs, and a few things that look like the thorn DOT the howlers give. Nothing particularly big in terms of damage. I know the untyped dot isn't my bleed attack because it last for a seriously long time vs the 6s from bleed them out.

    I also had what looked like some sunburst style AOE blast, but everything was hit for exactly 244 damage. Also there's that AOE force blast, can't remember how hard it hits but it's always nice.

    To add what I have personally seen;

    Spinner Spider Poison DoT from Spinner of Shadows.
    Earthquake type effect - think it is the Druid Dire Bear Form specific attack.
    Fear - it is the Druid Wolf Form specific howl/fear attack.

    First, this is one of the more powerful epic pl effects. Others give +1 weapon enhance, or +1 to saves, or 3% ranged alacrity, etc. Do keep in mind that epic PL are NOT like epic destinies...the PL work during heroic leveling too!
    2nd The epic pl effects are not meant to be really powerful or they would be extremely overwhelming instead of just moderately all through the heroic levels.
    3rd, the epic PL stack up to 3 times just like heroic so at 1 PL of it, perhaps you ARE only experiencing the first rank of the various effects like Autumn Harvest...but with 3 PL of colors you would get the full effect?

    In short, there is nothing wrong with colors that would require it to be looked at and improved. It is plenty fine, even perhaps overpowered compared to all the other EPL available as it is now.

    Those effects were all from the epic past life feat? If so then maybe I just get bad rolls, havent had it for long but I havent seen the wide variety of procs that people are mentioning outside of the Double rainbow stance.


    Some kind of elemental burst effect that hit for elec acid fire and ice damage at once = hellball, I've seen that proc on double rainbow, was fairly surprised with the amount of damage that one did, almost tempting me to get it as an epic feat, its just too bad that as a feat Metamagic Feats increases the cost.

    forgot all about the dispel magic land mine, perhaps that is what that force burst is that doesnt do damage, since most mobs didnt have active effects could be why it didnt seem to decolor them like normal.

    I understand that its not meant to be over powered, and that it works during heroics. its just even during heroics, the effects I've personally seen dont scream overpowered, or even remotely powered. An extra 1-2d6 of damage just seemed like a waste of 6mil karma, even if I was playing heroics with it. but, from what other's are posting, perhaps Im just getting bad rolls (seen colors of the queen 1, mentioned alot in my combat log. so perhaps the t2-3 do upgrade the tables/effects),

    will give it a whirl on another toon once I get another capped, but for the reapting xbow the damage just doesnt seem to be there, Anyone else using a ranged build with it, mostly I see that people are using casters/melee.
