Default Could gnomes be beneficial to bards?

    My reasoning:

    - Some types of gnomes have a racial bonus to illusion spell DCs.
    - There are very few DC-based illusion spells currently in DDO.
    - Illusion spells will have to be added to correct this, and offer gnomes their own niche in DDO.
    - Bards use illusion spells, or they would if there were any in DDO.
    - More spell choices for bards is a buff for the class.

Of course, if Eberron gnomes *don't* get a racial bonus to illusion DCs, then I have no idea what gnomes will do in DDO.

Deep Gnomes get +2 dex and +2 wis along with other awesome things like +4 dodge AC, blur, blind/deafen and disguise SLAs as well as Drow like SR. They'd be perfect for a monk Iconic race.

gnomes are arti's. Bards are just a never was. Time to wipe that whole design and start over. Hell do a copy and paste from SOE's everquest or vangaurd. I might hate the company for what they did to their games, but damned if they didn't know how to make interesting classes to be worthwhile enough to level from lv 1. (twice, evil and good)

I heard the loot gods find Gnome blood even more appealing than Halfling. If this be true, Halflings everywhere would rejoice at the introduction of Gnomes to DDO...
Now excuse me while I wander off to arm myself with Grilled Cheese Sandwiches and hunker down behind my Armored Beer Refrigerator, while I have the UFO's take control of the Congresional Wives with the help of the International Cocaine Smugglers and the Evil Geniuses for a Better Tomorrow

Should bards only really work with gnomes, I will write off the class in DDO forever.

Gnomes are wonderful in certain recipes - particularly sauces and garnishes.

My theory was that the inclusion of gnomes could benefit bards, not that they would ONLY benefit bards.

Gnome entrails are excellent for making bagpipes, so yes, I'd say they would be beneficial.
