    Default Siouxsie the Banshee (build by request)

    Requester asked for help ungimping a guildie's build, who took a bard splash by accident instead of rogue; currently drow bard 1 / wiz 6. Said guildie still had free LR +0 to fix it, but didn't want to delete or pay for LR +1.

    My idea was to try to build on three key skills which bard unlocks - namely Perform, Diplomacy, and UMD - to come up with a slightly different sort of Pale Master with an eye towards Shiradi. Namely, since Perform boosts Sonic spellpower which also affects Shiradi sonic procs, let's try a PM / Evo Archmage combo who invests in sonic spells.

    Crazy gimp? Probably! But let's see what I came up with...

    Eldritch Knight isn't in the current builder (not updated for U20 yet); but I saved 4 APs to invest in EK Wand & Scroll Mastery (+75%), which is a lot cheaper than the AM line and comes in handy when you need to Heal-/Harm-scroll anybody.

    Skills: max Concentration, Spellcraft, Perform, UMD, and Heal, with extra pts dumped into Diplomacy; the second bard lvl lets me dump a whole bunch of pts into Diplo.

    Drawbacks: same one as every splashed wizard, namely -2 Spell Pen, -1 feat, and -2 INT w/out capstone. Also, even though I've tried to aim her towards sonic spells, there are no crit bonuses in any of the wiz trees to sonic, AFAIK; they're only in Spellsinger, but I can't afford a lot of APs for that. Finally, while sonic stuns are nice, they don't induce helplessness like Enchantment spells, so they're not as useful as, say, Mass Hold would be.

    Gameplay: while leveling she plays like a typical PM / Evo AM build; i.e., alternates between Necro and raw-DPS spells, spamming her Evo SLAs where appropriate. The main difference is her sonic dmg is better than a regular wiz, altho sonic still isn't great DPS. Things get more interesting in epics after she makes her way over to Shiradi: Perform should boost sonic dmg from Favorable Winds, while Diplo gives her a leg up while having Tea with the Queen. SF:Evo opens DC Twist from Draconic; either double-down w/Magister Evo Specialist or Twist Necro Specialist instead.

    I now look forward to all the responses about what a terrible idea this is.

    I always appreciate your builds, but I have next to zero experience with sorcs and bards, so really can't comment.

    However, I did (at least) bump your post.
    Ordinary humans have inhibitions that serve as a buffer against what we know is bad behavior.
    However, some people, by blaming others for their own bad behavior, develop a thought pattern that allows them to override self-control in order to achieve a selfish end.
    - My opinion on exploiters and cheaters blaming SSG for unfair punishment.

    There was a change to this in one of the last patches (not documented en detail). The costs are now the same like in EK or any other class tree (3 AP). The only difference is in the description: the Wizard Enhancements don't mention heal, while the one in the Bard tree does. I currently play a Wiz/Druid splash and because of the different descriptions I still put 4 points into Season's Herald instead of AM. But I didn't test if it's just a description bug or if it really doesn't affect healing scrolls.
