Is it me or is the DPS gap becoming larger and larger between classes. Basically, I am talking about the red headed step child off DDO. Paladins. For the first few months of the game, they had some of the best DPS and that was because of Divine Favor granting a +5 to hit and damage. They thought that was way too much and they made it a +3.....and back then that extra 2 to hit and damage was huge. And ever since then, people have been clamoring for them to add something significant to paladins. Nothing. Now they even changed Divine Might and made it weaker for 90% of the paladins out there.
Have the devs even tried bringing a paladin into an EE quest? AC doesn't work all that well (My main has a 160 AC, 115 PPR, Incorprial, Blurry, etc). They can't damage anything worth a darn. Fighters/barbs/monks do as much damage on their base damage as I do on a crit exhalted smite. I am not asking for them to be the best DPS in the game, but there has to be SOMETHING they can do to make them useful at end game.
Before they reworked the AC system, Paladins and fighters could get the highest AC in the game...but they had to work at it. The end result was a tangible benifit. Before, every point into ac was roughly a 5% chance of getting missed. Now you can go from 110-175 and it maybe 10%. What is the point of having AC if the end result is an almost non existent benifit. Monks can hit an AC of say 80 fairly easily. That is roughly a 50% chance to be missed at level (what ever that means in their calculations). Add in HUGE dodge bonus and Monks are already ahead of most AC builds (and looking at the Destiny Lines and Enhancement Lines that is where they want Paladins) And their DPS is light years ahead of Paladins.
