you guys, for last few hours, NOBODY could use twists on their heroic characters! I proclaim it as a victory to those who want this "fixed". I ask nonetheless, at what cost!?
seriously tho, I was a lil bit upset about twists being fixed - they ease the way through low levels, save time and resources.
I myself was using 3: endless lay on hands, endless faith, and improved power attack. made my THF paladin so much more enjoyable and reliable. Buff from primal scream is noticeable, but, those 3 are far far more important.
I wonder what would people I grouped with enjoy more:
a) lifesaving Lay On Hands coming from not-WAI twist
b) death and wipe by the rules of WAI
a) infinite healing (with lil extra wait) from paladin using Endless Faith
b) no healing at all
Third one, Improved power attack, adds 0.5[W] damage while I'm in PA stance. I used it with Scoundrel's Greatsword [2d8] base damage, adding cleave and great cleave feats, attacking every mob around me for 7d8+(1.5str) damage every few seconds. It's not much, but me likes.
A fact that Chai neglects in this argument that he repeats continuously is that Epic Destinies are an expansion feature. Everyone, Premium or VIP, already paid for them.
You play a class to 20, you TR and get a past life perk.
You get a destiny to level 3, you get a Twist of Fate point for a perk.
You get all the past lives, you get a Completionist perk.
You get all the fate points, you get 4-2-1 twists perk. Destiny Completionist!
If you want to argue that Epic Destinies are the most egregious, power-creeping, cash-grab in DDO's history; I'll agree with you.
If you want to argue that fracturing the game from Heroic class levels, to Paid Enhancement system + Commoner levels was the worst design decision ever; I'll agree with you.
If you want to argue that Epic Past Lives, which are effective from level 1, are underwhelming; I'll agree with you.
If anyone wants to argue that Twists in Heroic are a logical parallel to Past Lives for this separate XP system; I'll agree with you.
If you want to argue that, much like Green Steel, the pure customization opportunities makes them awe-inspiringly powerful; I'll agree with you.
If you want to say that a convenience of a paid feature is free; I'll disagree with you.
I think thats what I was saying 3 years ago, all these exploits going to kill the game!!! I guess I was wrong.
Smash and Grab
Turbine already stated it is not working as intended. That makes those using it exploiting.17.You will not exploit, distribute or publicly communicate any game error, miscue or bug which gives an unintended advantage within the Dungeons&Dragons Online game world. Bugs should be reported via the Ingame Bug Reporting Form.
The fact that people still continue to attempt to lawyer that its intended is hilarious, because it was already specifically stated by Turbine that it is not intended. Not that anyone should need anything more than a shred of common sense to understand that abilities which do 30d20 AOE and 10d100 AOE damage starting at level one are obviously not intended.

Advocating repeated nerfs in the name of "balancing the game" then complaining about how DDO is moving away from D&D, is a direct contradiction in logic - D&D 3.5 (what DDO is based on) is not a balanced game. We can either have a balanced clone MMO with homogenized classes, or we can have a D&D game. We cant have both.
High Road being incompletable every other update is not WAI, is that an exploit?
Abbot breaking every other update is not WAI either.... Exploit?
Every exploit may not be WAI, but not everything that is not WAI is an exploit.
