Default Minimum level to do a quest?

What's the minimum level to enter a quest?

    Is it different for Epics?

Edit: I was wrong here, ignore this. I'll do more testing and post.

For Heroic quests: Quest Level -2 (So Kobold Assault on Elite is base level 3 + 2 for Elite = 5, so the Minimum Level to enter it is 3)

For Epic quests: Quest Level -4 I think, but must be at least 21.

If you don't have an SSD, you should be using DDOPreload (fixes the slow first login issue)

You have to be level 20 to get into epic quests - not 21. As far as the heroic minimum level, I have no experience with this because I bank levels on my characters and by the time I leave the harbor, I am only running quests where my level is equal to the elite level of the quest.

Oddly enough, I think you can enter the quest Lords of Dust at level 12.

    Are you sure about this?
I think quest lvl is for normal, doesnt change if its elite or not.

the -2 on heroic is certainly not correct.
you can pick up a quest if you are three levels below quest level. and you can also enter it.
(tested: my level 5 dude picked up a level 8 quest and entered it on normal)
you cannot pick up quest if you are 4 levels below quest level. must pester some guildie for more testing

difficulty level afaik IS important for this. I remember on a level 20, I could enter a level 24 on normal, but not on higher difficulties

I think its for the actual level of qquest after mod for diff, since i can enter some quests on EH at 20, but EE at 21

Regarding heroic levels, you can go in at quest lvl -4. Just tested on my lvl 11 rogue. Entered delirium (lvl 15). Said I had to be lvl 12 to enter Lords of Dust (lvl 16).

Edit: quest level refers to the one in the compendium, so the normal diff.

OK, seems it is not a flat number of levels at all. Did the research and wrote it up here: http://ddowiki.com/page/Quest_Minimum_Level
