Default How Turbine can make lots of revenue: Prestige Classes AND Warlock Class and...

Start selling Prestige Classes on the marketplace and release new ones quarterly.

To prepare for this, start an open discussion about what prestige classes we'd most like to see and develop the four most wanted.

    Sell them for 595TP each.

Also, release the Warlock class and sell it (with two or three built in prestige classes) for 1295TP. This could be the new paradigm for revenue, and people will buy it.

    Re-Tool Current Content:

Make Epic Vale of Twilight (and epic-ify the base quests and raid which are already there.) Add five or six new adventures to that pack with a new raid and sell that pack expansion.

Completely retool the Twilight Forge content. Create a much more vast underground tunnel complex which is easier to navigate and add 2-3 more adventures. Retool the raid. Make epic versions of all of it.

Implement sagas for all levels, across Eberron and Toril.

    Miscellany:

General Items: Create "cool" effects. Instead of damage, make items proc damage mitigating factors or summon monsters, make 'heirloom' items that can level with the player
    Weapons:
Create a two handed martial piercing weapon (trident anyone?)
Spells: Make mass versions of resist elements and freedom of movement, REMOVE all the mass ability score spells (because they are worthless.)

God, please no Epic Vale, I had ran those quests already enough for a lifetime. Let that place die with the past. If Epic levels get Vale, the end-game will be just as crappy as 2 years ago, with people constantly running GH and Vale over and over and over and over and over and over and over and IT'S SO BORING, PLEASE DON'T.

Introduction of content more important to players than Vale was literally the reason I stopped rolling new characters the moment I hit cap.

As for Piercing Staff, I'd prefer Scythes, but that's just me.

While I would love epic vale (okay, maybe no epic coal chamber), I don't really know that constantly selling prestige classes is a great idea, that might be the microtransaction that broke the players wallets and they said enough, we're done being nickel and dimed.

There are no prestige classe sin DDO, if your refering to the specialization trees that each class gets than no those should NEVER be P2P

    1 - I'd rather see Psionics first
2 - If they do release Warlock it better be right not just a reflavoured Sorc/Wiz
3 - It better be able to use Cha OR Con for it's Caster stat depending on the chosen pact
4 - It's 100% free specialization trees should reflect this Cha-Based, Con-Based, Works for either
5 - It better not have a "must be chaotic" or w/e requirement so I can make my Crimson Legion Paladin/Warlock
6 - Give us Tieflings hell make an "Infernal" bundle and release them at the same time (option to purchase seperately of course)
7 - New classes are 995TP please don't encourage them to raise prices

You mean Vale of Twilight right?

Actually please don't I LOVE Twilight Forge they just need to increase the drop rate a bit and tweak things a bit to remove the "one person can screw the whole raid" issue.

    Can't argue with that

No reason to remove spells from the game used or not...maybe change them to +1 Arcane Bonus for the mass ones and leave the single target ones as-is, I concur on the mass version of all buffs...just stick em in Lvl 8 and 9 we could use some variety there.

NO thanks to epic vale I am bored with those quests now and seldom run them if I can avoid it. HELL NO TO WARLOCKS thank you very much.

I don't think doing a lot of new classes is a good idea a couple like psionic ones might be good and a few new races is a very good idea

    We need for sure

    1. Shifters
    2. Gnomes
    3. Kobolds
    4. Tieflings
    5. Assimar

See? These are the responses I like. People with their own suggestions. Kudos to you all for your input. I'd love to hear more from you guys! I'm sure the folks over at Turbine would also like our input.

I know you're sick of Vale, but do you remember why people played it so much? Because the adventures were unique and fun. Some of the best crafted adventures in the game. Rainbow in the Dark is the most unique adventure in the entire game. None of these quests was exclusively "fight waves of mobs until you win." They had a feeling of progression... of accomplishment.

    No.

At first, it was because we need base mats to craft blank greensteel. And the only place where those things dropped were on those specific quests. Greensteel is an awesome piece of gear, and stay as that even today.

After they implemented TR in the game, Vale just have a better XP/difficulty ratio than every other higher level quest.

I agree that Vale quests are also fun and unique. But that is not the reason why they are run to death every time you have a chance. There is a ton of "fun and unique" quests that seldom see some runs. See the thread about 3BC quests for examples.
Main: Amossa d'Cannith, Sarlona, casually trying Completionist [<o>]

    Almost-never-played-alts: Arquera - Chapolin - Fabber - Herweg - Mecanico - Tenma

I want DDO to be a better game. Those are my personal suggestions on: Ammunition, Archmage, Combat Stances, Deities, Dispel Magic, Epic Destiny Map, Fast Healing, Favor, Favored Enemy, Half-elf Enhancements, Monk Stances, Past Life, Potency, Potions, Ranger Spells, Summons, Tiered Loot.

    No, no and no.
Sleeping Dust Lie and Coal Chamber are horrible quests full of backtracking and arbitrary difficulty. Rainbow in the Dark breaks down in value due to not allowing any late comers to a party to participate in the quest. Sacrifice is an utterly bland A to B quest that should have been in Menechtaurn. Running with the Devils isn't anything hugely special either, it's just one step ahead of Sacrifice.

The only thing the pack has going for it is a nice looking explorer area and a single quest with a fun gimmick. (Rainbow)
    But guess what.

New content often has this as well. Red Fens, Wheloon, Underdark...
You know why you don't praise those as well as Vale though? Because you are nostalgic. You learned Vale when you were new. Now you don't have the patience to learn new quests, because they don't offer the kind of loot you like. That's it. There's NOTHING about Vale that makes it a better candidate for Epic levels than Red Fens. Nothing, other than old fanboys supporting bland, outdated content that they got glued to.

Please, I implore everyone, don't make the devs enable Epic on Vale. Have you not run that content enough already!? Do you seriously want to grind these quests for 4 more years? Are you this allergic to doing new things?

I don't praise Wheloon because of that really nasty Shadowfell fog effect that gives me a headache while enduring it as well as that crappy explorers system the devs seem so fond of now, hunting down notes to click on instead of finding EXPLORERS. I've done all the quests, and did all the notes on 1 character. I will probably never do the wilderness there again on any character, heroic or epic, because of that horrible headache inducing fog effect.

Red Fens has some fun content, some not so fun. Last stand is pretty boring. Claw of Vulkoor could be interesting...if the stealth rewards were better. The only 'gimmick' with Red Fens is that extremely disappointing and sorry excuse for 'underwater combat' that got foisted off on us.

Underdark I do enjoy, though the Red Dragon encounter is extremely annoying to the point where I *MIGHT* look to see if it's there because there's other rares up in that area too...but unless the whole group (if I'm grouped) wants to try the dragon I'll skip it. Breaking that bridge and knocking you halfway across the map with the first wing buffet is a horrible idea. The BIGGEST thing I love about the Underdark is you don't have to hunt down little scraps of paper but can do Explorers the way they SHOULD be done. NO MORE NOTE FILLED WILDERNESSES, PLEASE!!!

As for there being NOTHING about the Vale that makes it a better candidate for epic levels than Red Fens (or Wheloon, UD, etc) oh yes there *IS*. Red Fens is already epic, as are many of the packs in the game. That makes Vale a top contender for Epic conversion, and I would LOVE to see Epic Rainbow and Coal Chamber.

The Underdark is great. I like all of the quests in Sschyndlryn, but the Demonweb quests feel like they were rushed into production and lack depth. I think the Red Fens are craptastic all around (the Assault on Stormreach arc blows it AWAY) and Wheloon is the worst of the worst, both in creativity of encounter design and itemization.

I just wanted to add for emphasis to counter yours: RED FENS IS TERRIBLE.

    Thanks.
