Normally while pugging I often run into people who would rage at or mock people who died, fell behind, or generally didn't keep up. However, lately, I see a lot less of that attitude in the pugs I'm in, and an actual increase in friendliness and helpfulness.
In fact, just yesterday I was in an elite Chain of Flames run (Sorc, Bard, Wiz, and a Ranger + pocket cleric) in which we had a full party wipe in one of the traps. Normally I would expect to see at least a few people rage quit after complaining about the noobs, but everyone kept their cool as I released, recovered, and ran all the way back so that we could complete. It reminded me of the old days.
More then anything else, it's the attitude of other players in an MMO that results in new player retention and I hope the recent improvement is a permanent thing.
