    Default 12 fighter/6 monk/2 ranger

So, before U19 I had a barbarian who hadn't seen the light of day in about a year - probably a little longer. Got him to 20, got 20 Shrouds in and decided I didn't like being a barbarian. The enhancement pass did not improve things for me, but I can say that I found the Ravager prestige a bit fun when I tried it out just to see (and figured I would pick some of the lowest-hanging fruit when it comes to epic experience since King's Forest, Underdark, Sschindylryn, and High Road are all pretty doable with just a hire). Since I had made an epic Antique Greataxe for him and didn't want all that effort to be lost, I decided I would TR him into something else. Took me a while to work out what, but here is the result (which I figured I would post here for criticism and, if someone likes it, maybe they can use it as a jumping-off point for a build of their own):

Feat: (Epic Destiny) Epic Destiny: Elusive Target
I did not take Blinding Speed at level 27 because I am planning on putting an epic elite Jorgundal's Collar on him (dropped for me on another character). I can post the gear plan here if you want, too, but I know most of you probably will not like it since I build more for a wide range of effects rather than the absolute highest stats I can get. Like I said, if you want me to post it, I will be happy to do so as long as you are aware I am unlikely to make changes. One problem I do see with the build (and selected gear) is that it is low on PRR, but I was already planning on being in Grandmaster of Mountain stance to help correct that. He'll be using greataxes.

For the level 26 feat, Perfect Two Handed Fighting looked ... not very good. It could be good and please correct me if I am wrong. I only chose Elusive Target at level 28 because there wasn't much worth taking from the looks of it. He won't have the wisdom to really make use of Mass Frog.

As for enhancements, I could see swapping out some improved critical stuff for increased tactical feat DC's. Anyway, let me know what you think.

A few suggestions, drop wisdom entirely up starting dex to 15 (for 17 base to qualify for manyshot) and drop 10k stars without 40+ wisdom it isn't worth it and even then not if it's that or manyshot, drop mobility too. pick up point blank shot instead. with the extra points from dropping wisdom up STR some more as well.

With all the enahncements spread out like that I'm not going to go through so no comment there. You're probably going to keep changing them anyway until you find something that fits your build.

Drop a feat to pick up precise shot too.

While Perfect Two handed fighting isn't that great, perfect two weapon fighting gives 5% doublestrike to your main hand weapon so it works for two handed weapons too.

Edit: If you still have a LR+20 heart consider Lr'ing to ranger for the +2 to ranged damage.

Thanks for the suggestions. I will have a look at dropping 10k stars and swapping in Manyshot. I put wisdom at 14 to start to qualify for Zen Archery early. I will definitely change to PTWF then for level 26. I didn't realize it worked for THF, as well.

I do still have my LR+20 heart. So, I can use that if I bork this up too badly.

Even if you skip 10K Stars, I would keep Zen Archery; that way you can use Earth stance for +1 crits w/MS. Otherwise you're going to "bleed off" ki every time you switch to longbows.

EDIT: NM, just noticed you kept ZA in your 2nd build. NOTHING TO SEE HERE FOLKS MOVE ALONG

Why 12 fighter instead of 8 fighter/6 ranger?

Those 4 levels of ranger seems to give more than 4 levels of fighter
    Rapid Shot
    Die-hard
    TWF
    ITWF
    Precise Shot (Archer's Focus)
    Ram's Might

compared to two feats from fighter.

Most enhancements seem front-loaded... I'm sure you gain access to a few extra ranger enhancements, but don't lose hardly any fighter enhancements.

Seems like 8/6/6 fighter/monk/ranger might be better.

Fighter 12 also gives power surge. but yes 8ftr/6monk/6ranger is also a good split choice. Depends on your preferences.

Well, I went 12 fighter because I want the extra feats and I want Power Surge. The two weapon fighting feats from ranger are immaterial as they simply will not be used. As far as Diehard goes, I can take or leave that. Precise Shot would be nice. As far as enhancements go, I can't see there being much room for more ranger enhancements. However, you have got me curious and so I will see what can be done with an 8/6/6 build. I'll post that back here in the next couple of days.

Heh, I forgot Manyshot the most important reason to go ranger 6...

If you're not using TWF, then I can see going fighter instead.
