The latest thing I have noticed is that base form warforged or "composite plating" has lost its 2 AC. I know there are some who would like to say "What's the big deal?".
What indeed IS the big deal?
Too what gain and tremendous advantage do we have to remove armor from composite plating? Is it because on some level WF could be armored and monks? They have a double stat penalty and poor divine healing. One of the stats is wisdom reducing the "gain" to 1 point of AC. Big deal. Halfling is better...by far.
The fact that they get to be armored caster without such a nerf? Hogwash. Let us take a quick look at the various light armors if you think that it isn't quite easy for a fleshy to accomplish light armor with little or no arcane spell failure.
Oh and speaking of spell failure..if they are no longer armored in base form why do they still HAVE arcane spell failure? Ridiculous.
Maybe the concern is that warforged would with fair implementation of light armor have light PRR(appropriately nerfed for being wf of course)-sarcasm. Well, refer to the above about light armor being well within reach for a fleshy caster and also consider the actual quantity of PRR. It isn't much in any case.
Maybe it is because warforged is the preferred choice for arcane casters huh? Let's take a good look at this one shall we? Fleshies are preferred for divines and warforged are preferred for arcane. Shocker isn't it? Because as the community shrinks both due to attrition and due to mechanics encouraging tighter lvl ranges people value self sufficiency more..OMG. Are warforged statistically better casters? NO. They are simply more soloable. But hey, by all means be more antagonistic toward your play base. That will sure fix this problem.
Antagonistic is the only way to describe what is going on with the warforged. The ninja nerfs are MANY and they are varied. By way of minor example, docents regarding dragon armor allow less max dex than the actual armor equivalent. No doubt some will think it trivial still. The fact is I could comment on the nerfs for pages. Any one of them would easily be summed up as an oversight. In total they are a clear and deliberate jab at a DDO race that is unwarranted and unprofessional. Remove them if you hate them so much..lose the customers that wont tolerate it and be done. Betcha won't.
