Default maybe strange, but serious question

I have the impression, that enemies much more often save against my DC, since it hit 40. Was it just bad luck or is there a hidden agenda to let players not feel too powerful once they achieved a certain DC level?

Um, are you trying higher level quests, or encountering mobs with higher SR?

Uh.. shouldn't be. I ran with (exactly) 40 stunning DC from 18-20, was no fail. (I had to use my +10 wraps for 50 DC stun for earlier content, turbine ftw)

Heck, 40 DC was more than enough, to the point where I was using dps wraps instead of stunning wraps.

You're probably around the level where things begin to get more challenging. Around Gianthold and Necropolis 4 (levels 13-16) mobs gain a pretty big jump in HP, saves, and spell resist, and grow steadily stronger the higher you get. When you reach the level 18-21 quests (like Inspired Quarter and Amrath) you'll feel pretty weak, but when you reach epic levels and get your epic destinies you'll feel almost overpowered. That feeling levels off around level 25.

I did the heroic High Road Slayer and when my DCs were 39 a save against them or a resist were the exception. Then I hit the 40's and now it seems to be the exception not to fail (in the same High Road heroic Wilderness). This is strange.
