If it makes you feel better, agreeing with you was not on my list of things to do today, so you made me overwork.

"Now this is not the end. It is not even the beginning of the end. But it is, perhaps, the end of the beginning."
    It's definitely an N-word.

No ungood and I agreed, it is now the beggining of the end, let ride the four horsemen.

No, there simply won't be anyone left at all.
There is no such thing as a lawful personality. That's an illusion.

But, actually, come to think of it, I am starting to like the idea that just everybody should be banned. Everyone. I can then finally create new characters with the names that I want on every server.

If youre bright enough(doesn't take a genius) to perform an exploit over and over again, you are also bright enough to know youre exploiting, even if you lack the moral compass to know its wrong you know exploiting is against the rules and should expect repercussions when caught.

Even my 4 yr old knows better than to do many things that are not allowed despite being fun/rewarding, like drawing on her walls with crayons, I think she learned that at 2 yrs old. Cant the players in this game attempt to be as responsible as a 2 yr old at least? Cause and effect, grow up. Take it like a man (an adult).

To me, what matters is simple: this could be the beginning of the end for Dungeons and Dragons Online.

I don't know how Turbine will handle this but from what I've seen on G-land (the server the exploiters didn't hurt as much as others so far) there were just TOO MANY people using the exploit. WAY TOO MANY. People have talked about permabans and such but I'm sure Turbine cannot permaban the exploiters. As said on other threads, the game would become a wasteland.

I've read people criticizing Turbine for how they handled this but, trust me, so far they did the right thing, except for the fact they should have closed the gameworlds unless the hotfix was really hard to develop. They can ban people for 3-14 days and stuff but more than that (and banning ALL the exploiters) will be like shooting their own feet with a handgun.

I was around when the Mabar ban-a-pallooza happened, and got banned too even though I didn't do anything. I saw the chest-a-pallooza and saw DOOMERS saying it was DDO's DOOM. But it didn't happen. This time is different though. Information about the exploit has been around for a week or so and it got even worse in the past 3 days.

Well, lets wait and see what Turbine will do. This was the worst and biggest exploit I've ever seen in these 3 or so years I've been playing the game. But this time I believe only Turbine can save DDO by not turning the servers into ghostowns.

This could really be the beginning of the end for DDO.
The doom will be no real reason to run level 28 characters.
Exploits? There's a reason why I'm seriously contemplating logging in every night. And it's not exploits.

This thread really needs a theme song. I nominate the following:

Things that if Turbine went all EXTREME PREJUDICE™ on, would actually make the game fun again.:
    • Giving us the racial PrE’s we were promised, before rolling out DDOStore™ Enhancement Trees.
    • Fixing physical defense for Rangers and Rogues. It’s ridiculous that you’re better off wearing Heavy Armor and ignoring your innate feats on these classes.
    • Cannith Crafting.
    • Update the named loot to put them on the same system.
    • Fixing the Cannith Challenges so that they can be 6 starred without incredible luck or store bought items.
    • Fixing all challenges to give us decent XP and ingredient returns for the unreasonable time we have to spend in most of them.

But are you Lawful Good, Lawful Neutral, or Lawful Evil? This snippet concerning Lawful Evil from the Wikipedia is rather interesting.

People who did this before the launcher warning should get a 30 day ban and loss of all plat and ingredients any after the waring perma ban and if they try a new account with a credit card linked to the banned account/accounts ban that to.

Cheaters should be banned period no matter what espcially after a warning.

On the bright side I neither duped nor purchased anything that could be duped in the past 6 months so I know whatever they do will have no effect on me personally, though if they do ban a bunch of players it could affect my ability to fill up the PUG's I start so I would rather they avoided mass bans.
I would rather the game close than to allow cheating jerks to think they can do what they want.

Banning the kind of people who did this is unlikely to hurt LFM's much on any server as they are likely the kind of people who solo or just group with their own little circle most of the time.

    That sums me up.

Or neutral evil, one of the two.

Yes, because people didn't know they were using an exploit and that there would probably be repercussions for it until an announcement went up on the launcher. Come on now.

id like to know how many of those "righteous ones" calling loudly for death penalty wont never buy shroud blanks, ingerdients, augments and whatever else u can get derrived from baggables (u know u can even get regular loot for some) again, because u can always doubt about origin of those?
