U20 better contain more than just Epic TRs, or there are going to be serious repercussions. I know I am not the only one at a loss for what to do, and the more time elapses between now and the next update that adds something to the end of the game, the more diligently we are going to be looking for a different game -- a different place to spend our money. And the less likely we are to return when Turbine does eventually add new content at endgame.

This is childish and unconstructive. While overly pessimistic, most of his complaints are based on valid observations and are shared by many, many others.

People like him and me aren't complaining because we hate the game and want to leave. We're complaining because we like the game and want a reason to stay.

It's actually Turbine that is causing people to leave through a combination of bafflingly poor design decisions, horrible implementation, rushed QA, a lack of interest in bug fixes, and a smokescreen of non-communication.

Only one mention of the lack of the roman numerals in description. It's horrible to be forced to mouseover every item.

I could search AH, set up level range to 15-15 and get following items:
    Deadly x of Accuracy
    Deadly x of Accuracy
    Deadly x of Accuracy
    Deadly x of Accuracy
    Deadly x of Accuracy
    Deadly x of Accuracy
    Deadly x of Accuracy
    Deadly x of Accuracy

One of them would be Deadly 6 Accuracy 2, others would be utterly useless. All of them with same level range and identical description, but a +1 deadly x of accuracy 4 with a green slot is something I would not touch with a ten-foot-pole.

Even worse with items of speed, or fortified items. Speeds 1-5 are utterly useless, 6+ have the 30% striding, making them useful. Fortifications 20-80 are pretty much utterly useless as well for any toons above level 10, and still they pop up in high level items with no way to see the utter crappyness without mouse-overing the item.

Cursed / masterful craftmanship can be seen without reading the description, but why why why can't the slots be visible too? And the numeric values of the bonuses.

Or barring any loot upgrades, please move the guild reputation to first pick from quest rewards. So I wouldn't have to scroll to get that, as the items aren't worth the trouble.

Once again, entirely accurate and valid points.

And once again, likely to be completely ignored.

Occasionally I find something actually worth taking. Yesterday, for example, found a deadly +6 necklace of natural armor +3, and since I'm currently using a straight deadly +6, might upgrade to that next level. But these are few and far between.

    Default Suggestion Box

    Here's a suggestion:

Since the Chest windows still has some free space, add a couple new buttons:

    - "Vendor Trash All" - directly sell from the chest
    - "AH Trash All" - post directly to AH, at random high prices

Oh wait... we wouldn't need to buy more inventory space that way.

    Carry on.

    From any quest rewards:

99% out of 100% Weapons: would be either:

    Ghostbane
    Riposte
    Rapid shot
    Heartseeking

99% out of 100% Armor would be either:
    Deathblock
    Flurry
    Vitality

Seeing 5 out 5 weapons with Ghostbane is pretty common.
Or 5 out of 5 armor with Deathblock.

Where is Holy of pure good weapons, or Shocking burst of bleed? This weapons DO exist, you can craft them, its just impossible to see them as rewards.

Please bring back the many loot prefixes that have gone missing. Removing them because "they were being reworked" is like a friend of mine who used to quit his current job and only then start looking for a new one.
I have never understood why things have to be removed from the game to be reworked. Why can't they remain in the game while they are reworked? These are virtual objects afterall - its not like me who has to miss things when I have a doctor appointment because I can't be in 2 places at once

Lets face it. Nobody was running quests for the random loot at any point in the history of ddo

The loot is a bit silly right now and im hopeful a fix for it is well underway and coming soon. This cant be what the devs envisioned. In the meantime, there are far bigger problems

The common link in most of the complaints in these forums, including this one, is the pugging scene, or lack thereof

First, I’d like to sign on to the “Turbine soiled the bed with the loot updates” petition. In an attempt to make random loot more desirable, they made it total, undeniable ****. And I’m also glad people are seeing what I saw with the obnoxious and idiotic Ghostbane attribute.

    Secondly:

First, this is kind of an idiotic statement. How can you run a quest with the expectation of getting loot that has the exact prefix and suffix you want if they are randomly generated? Yeah, no one was running them for random loot…but it assumes that they could somehow control the outcome of the random loot generator.

Second, prior to U19, the random lootgen was actually useful. I’ve got stuff on some of my toons that I found worked well beyond the normal life of what you’d expect to get out of random loot. Why they changed in favor of this….uh…indescribable frickin’ mess is a little beyond me.

I get the Acid I, II, III type attributes. I seriously get that. But the rest? For the most part, nothing more than repetitious junk.

Change Ghostbane into a BtCoE attribute. Get rid of Retributive. Go back.

I only have two things to add to this thread.

    1) There are a lot of crybabies on these forums.

    2) Someone in my group yesterday pulled a "deadly hat", and I told him he'd be a fool to put that on his head. lol

By the way, what happened to the random loot-gem clickables?

Devs really need to fix the loot-gen tables.

This is false. When GH first came out, people were farming PoP (since it was the fastest of the highest level quests in the game) to get the end-reward list, which quite often had a "Big-Five" weapon in it (Vorpal, banishing, paralyzing, disruption, smiting).

Before GH and the level increase to 14, these were quite rare... Very powerful back then to get a rapier or a scimitar of banishing, smiting, etc (instant death on a certain type of monster on a crit).

Also people used to get very excited over WoP weapons (Wounding of Puncturing). Only available through random loot-gen.

I WANT to be excited about about opening random chests... Random loot gen needs to be decent, with rare combinations that are very good. Named loot is also very important though.

The new loot tables as they are currently need to be fixed.
They appear to be a half-a*sed implementation of a thought bubble.

Agree with many of the comments on the repetitiveness of the limited affixes, the useless combinations and the inability to search them on the AH.
