It used to be gnome punting, but we got sooooo good at it that we accidentally punted all the gnomes at escape velocity and as a result gnomes have left our world forever. Now we just have the scissor races.

    Default popular sports

Popular Sports at Eberron since lightning rail: Orien Bobsled. It is a winter sport ran by a team of two or four down a snowy lightning rail in a wooden cart made of the scrap metals and broken wood pieces from last week's trivia. As to what powers the bobsled engine? Some said ice elementals some said air elementals. The wooden material is just this reporter's guess, as it can be an extra light carbon fiber with a crazy alchemical mixture from House Cannith.

Popular Sports at Faerun: Cormyr Aerial Zipline. Again, it is a team winter sports event but gets better: The white dragons blew the zipline team (usually two pairs) racing off the Storm Horns mountains into the Eveningstar town river below.

As to which one is more thrill felt by this reporter... Cough... The zipline felt faster and you don't really have any control as to which way the dragon blew you off as you follow the line. The Bobsled got a built-in brake built by the high tech House Cannith and automatically programmed elemental to *supposedly, hmmm* emergency stop if it ran outside of the guiding path; and the brake the team can control the speed.

    Beholder Ball:
Rule 1: Long Term Paralyzation/Charm of mini-beholder - though leave the eyes running.
Rule 2: Beholder-ray protective equipment is forbidden.
Rule 3: Any transformations of beings on the field are now permanent pieces of the field.
Rule 4: Play soccer/baseball/football/croquet as per almost normal.
Rule 5: No golems as substitues - sort of a violation of Rule2.

Default Popular sports in Fearun and Eberron

Well I don't know much about the other races, but we dwarves in both Fearun and Eberron have enjoyed the greatest sport invented since ale brewing (yes, ale brewing is a sport too.)
Find yourself in any decent dwarven owned tavern or inn and you're likely to enjoy a rousing game of Halfling Cheek Pinching! That's right, pinching their rosey little cheeks can earn you some plat!

    A couple if rules now:
    1) Each game lasts three pinches for each contestant!
    2) The winner is the pincher who's halfling has the rosiest cheeks at the end of three rounds, as judged by the other patrons of the tavern. (buying of rounds for the judges is not mandatory but is highly encouraged)
    3) Contestants are instantly disqualified for making their halfling cry! (many contestants buy rounds for their halflings too)
    4) Although it is only a rumor, and we have none of such creatures here anyway, still it has been made official that the Faerunian practice of substituting gnomes for halflings will NOT be tolerated and furthermore WILL result in disqualification upon discovery!

I can't speak for the other races, but we halflings love a rousing round of pin the tail on the dwarf. The rules are simple, attach a ribbon or other suitable "tail" to a throwing knife (or dart if you prefer) and try to make it stick in the behind of a dwarf. Preferably one of those ones that try to pinch our cheeks. The game ends when the dwarves buy us a round of ale. The winner is the halfling that got the most tails to stick.

    Default Omg yes!!!

Flat out my #1 ffavorite game is huntng Beholders. For example in Invader's I try to shoot down 3 Beholders at a time with my repeater and Endless Fuseledge. Somtiems a reaver will get in the way. Also, I like to hunt them in other quests and well. Rack up the Beholder trophies in Monster Manual.

My second favortie game is to hunt is for Dragons. You can tie together allot of quests and slayers todo a whole day of dragons. Start with VON 6 and end with FoT. I even get the 2 in Mired in Kobolds.

Hands down, the most popular sport is Monster Hunting and Slaying!

There are taverns, shops, quest givers, auction houses, pawn shops, trainers, banks and many others totally devoted to catering to the adventure lifestyle. And the thing adventurers do most is hunt down and slay hundreds, no thousands, perhaps millions of monsters, day in and day out! There's even large wilderness areas set up with "slayer counts" and monster manuals for tracking and rewarding all the hunting and killing.

(The second most popular sport is adventurer slaying...but that's another story and you'd have to interview some of the (still living) monsters to get all the facts and details and hidden awards and trophies that are part of it.)
